15 Years of Partnership. 15 Years of Impact.
Today, Legacy Chamber of West Tennessee, formerly known as the Jackson-Madison County African American Chamber of Commerce, and Follow Me Into Business proudly received a proclamation from the City of Jackson recognizing September 8 as 15th Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament Day.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Mayor Scott Conger and the City of Jackson for this meaningful recognition and for supporting an initiative that has brought business leaders, professionals, community partners, and supporters together for 15 years. Thank you County Mayor AJ Massey for your continuous support over the years and for always showing up!
A special thank you to City Councilman John Patrick Stovall for presenting the proclamation and helping commemorate this milestone.
To every partner, sponsor, volunteer, participant, and supporter who has stood behind this initiative throughout the past 15 years, thank you. Your investment, partnership, and belief in the mission have helped create something that extends far beyond one day on the golf course.
To Jackson Energy Authority, thank you for standing behind minority, small, and emerging businesses and the leaders who are building them. Your commitment to entrepreneurship, leadership, and economic opportunity has made a meaningful difference.
We also recognize our Golf Tournament Co-Chair, Dexter Davis of the UT Martin Department of Athletics, for his leadership, partnership, and commitment to this year’s tournament.
And as we celebrate this 15-year milestone, we pause to honor the legacy of our former Co-Chair, JEA Representative Ted Austin.
Ted helped shape this tournament and the relationships surrounding it. His commitment to business, leadership, and community remains part of the foundation we continue to build upon.
