A certified Biodynamic winery and farm, Cowhorn Vineyard & Garden is nestled in the fertile Applegate Valley of southern Oregon, just a few miles north of the California border. Vinified using a low intervention approach, the result is an unmistakable wine that reflects the healthy, nutrient rich vineyard from which it comes. Our Biodynamic, nature-focused approach contributes to the many dimensions of richness and complexity in our wines.

For one weekend, we’ll pull a handful of bottles from the quiet corners of the cellar and place them back on the table.

Quantities are limited and available first-come, first-served. Join us in celebrating the vintages that helped shape who we are today.

Head to the link in bio to explore the wines we’ve brought back from the cellar and learn more about member pricing.

Snapped on an iPhone, and somehow it still doesn’t quite capture what this time of year feels like at Cowhorn.

The vines are growing fast, wildflowers are still holding on, and every corner of the vineyard seems to change by the day.

“Bloom in the vineyard is one of the most important phenological milestones for every winegrower. Once the tiny white flowers explode from their little buds, you can pretty much set your timer for when you’re going to pick the grapes those flowers evolve into.” -

We just shared a new blog post with a look at bloom season and everything happening in the vineyard right now. Head to the link in bio to read more and follow along as the season unfolds 🍇

Rosé Day arrives only once a year, though it always seems to find us at exactly the right moment.

A bottle beneath the oaks. A quiet spot by the pond. A glass in the tasting room with the afternoon stretching out ahead of you.
Our 2025 Rosé was made for days like today. Unhurried, sunlit, and shared with good company.

We’ll be pouring all day. See you in the tasting room!

Summer has arrived at Cowhorn. A tasting flight shared across the table, a glass of wine in hand, or a bottle tucked beneath your arm as you wander toward the oaks. Wood-fired pizza from the oven, the vineyard before you, and the afternoon opens up.

Stay in the tasting room overlooking the vines or find a patch of shade and make a picnic of it. There is nowhere else you need to be.

Rosé season has arrived.

Our 2025 Grenache Rosé captures that fleeting moment when spring gives way to summer. With notes of yellow peach, wild strawberry, rosewater, orange, and ripe cantaloupe, it’s bright, textured, and made for long afternoons beneath the oaks.

Stop by this weekend for a taste, or join us on June 27 for our Rosé Release Party. Enjoy a complimentary tasting of the new vintage, live music from Brian Oliver, wood-fired pizza, charcuterie, and wines from both Cowhorn and Johan.

Reservations for the Rosé Release Party are available via the link in bio.

Every barrel has its own personality.

Throughout the year, Vince spends countless hours tasting through the cellar, moving barrel by barrel and lot by lot, following how each wine is evolving. Some show a little more energy, some more texture, some more structure.

It’s a process of observation, conversation, and patience. Returning to the same wines again and again, watching them change, taking notes, asking questions, and slowly beginning to understand what each barrel wants to become.

Long before a blend is finalized or a bottle is filled, there are hundreds of these quiet moments in the cellar. Just two people, a wine thief, a row of barrels, and the ongoing pursuit of capturing a vintage as honestly as possible.

The vineyard is growing by the hour right now.

Our Viognier and Syrah blocks are pushing hard, canopies filling in fast with these warm Southern Oregon days. June is when the work becomes constant, walking every row again and again preparing the vines for the long season ahead.

The head trained Grenache and Mourvèdre are beginning their annual transformation into what Mini lovingly calls the Dr. Seuss vines… wild little sculptural things reaching in every direction against the summer sky.

This is the month the vineyard starts asking everything of you.
