The Center supports entrepreneurship and the creation and growth of innovation-based companies in the greater South Central Wisconsin area. of manufacturing/distribution space divided into four suites. upport start-up companies that have the capacity to create jobs and hopefully would locate in the Janesville area. The second objective is to provide short term space to existing companies thatneed extra space to for product or process development. The third objective is to provide space to companies that have decided to locate in Janesville and need temporary space while their facilities are being constructed or renovated. The JIC facility is owned by the City of Janesville but managed by a non-profit entity named Janesville Innovation, Inc. The Board of Directors are responsible for managing the internal workings for the JIC including tenant selection, finances, tenant technical assistance support and other administrative responsibilities. The Janesville Innovation Center (JIC) building is owned by the City of Janesville, and leased, operated, and managed
by Janesville Innovation, Inc. (JII), a local non-profit economic development organization. Building construction was
funded by the US Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration and matching funds from the
City of Janesville. The Center represents a community-wide business investment to provide resources to a variety of
new and growing businesses in the greater South Central Wisconsin area.
