India is showing an unusually high concentration of advanced AI users at work.

Microsoft's September 2026 Work Trend Index found that 32% of AI users in India qualify as Frontier Professionals, compared with a global average of 16%.

Microsoft uses the term for employees who work with agents across multi-step tasks and actively redesign parts of their work around AI.

The accompanying skills data is equally relevant. 63% prioritized quality control of AI output, while 59% identified critical thinking as a top skill.

A semantic model refresh has traditionally been a broad operation, even when the underlying change affects only part of the model.

Power BI now provides more granular controls in supported model and editing contexts.

Teams can choose schema and data refresh, schema-only synchronization or data-only refresh, and can also apply refresh operations at the table level.

For larger models, that provides useful flexibility. A new source column does not necessarily require the same operation as updated transaction data, while a change affecting one table may not justify processing the complete model.

The value comes from understanding the model well enough to know what actually needs updating.

For years, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform teams could organize much of their planning around two major release waves.

Microsoft is changing that model.

AI adoption is beginning to change what organizations consider part of the security perimeter.

The World Economic Forum's https://shorturl.at/kr2sv found that the share of surveyed organizations with processes for assessing AI security increased from 37% in 2025 to 64% in 2026.

At the same time, 87% of respondents identified AI-related vulnerabilities as the fastest-growing cyber risk over the previous year.

The two numbers belong together.

Organizations are responding, but AI also creates security questions that extend beyond conventional software review: model and application access, sensitive data exposure, agent permissions, third-party dependencies, generated outputs and the actions AI-enabled systems can initiate.
