NYFW Throwback ✨
Some collections do more than present fashion, they weave together mythology, culture, and imagination into immersive storytelling.
At New York Fashion Week, Hirun New York unveiled Hinoki, a collection inspired by Thai folklore. Centered on a mermaid of Japanese origin, the story follows her journey across the sea in search of the Naga, the mythical serpent of Thailand.
Along the way, she encounters spirits, legends, and transformative moments that shape her path, culminating in her long-awaited meeting with the Naga. Through intricate design and narrative depth, the collection brought this cross-cultural tale to life on the runway.
Each look reflected a fusion of myth and movement, where heritage and imagination intertwine. The collection highlighted how fashion can transcend aesthetics, becoming a vessel for storytelling, connection, and cultural exploration.
