From leadership transitions to industry recognition and meaningful connections — it’s been an exciting season at RKL! Here are a few highlights from summer 2026 👇

🌟 Leadership transitions: Mike De Stefano assumed the role of CEO of RKL, David Morais became the President of RKL Private Wealth, and Tom Reardon became the Executive Vice President of RKL Private Wealth

🏆 National recognition: RKL led Pennsylvania firms on INSIDE Public Accounting’s Top 100 list, while RKL Private Wealth was named a Top 40 Firm by assets under management by Accounting Today. We were also honored as NACUSAC’s Associate Member of the Year and received a GRCA Business Excellence Award.

👏 Celebrating our award-winning team: Ed Monborne, Mike De Stefano and Laurie Peer were named influential leaders by Central Penn Business Journal and Lehigh Valley Business. Rachel Sargent was recognized among CPBJ’s Women of Influence, and Dan Schellhamer was named to LVB’s Forty Under 40.

Today, Mike De Stefano officially assumed the role of CEO at RKL, marking the start of an exciting next chapter.

Mike’s connection to RKL spans decades. He began his career in public accounting with RKL, serving in our Tax and Audit Services Groups for 14 years. He returned to RKL in 2019 as CFO, became COO in 2022, and today steps into the role of CEO.

Mike succeeds Ed Monborne, whose 15 years of leadership as CEO helped shape RKL’s remarkable growth and evolution into a leading advisory firm serving clients across the U.S. and internationally. As Ed prepares to retire in December, we’re deeply grateful for his leadership and lasting impact.

Today also marks an important leadership transition for RKL Private Wealth, as David Morais succeeds Laurie Peer as President and Tom Reardon becomes Executive Vice President. We celebrate Laurie’s tremendous leadership and look forward to the next chapter for RKL Private Wealth under David and Tom’s leadership.

With more than 159 RKLers participating, we were proud to see colleagues from across the firm come together for a day of spirited competition and fun.

🎒✏️ We collected 2,960 school supplies through our Reading office's RISE School Supply Drive!

RISE, RKL’s young professionals group, organized the drive to equip local students with backpacks, notebooks, pencils, crayons, and other tools they need for a successful school year. 📚🖍️

To add some friendly competition, RKL departments also participated in a supply drive battle. Congratulations to Tax for earning first place! 🏆
