New hire reporting and onboarding paperwork get more complicated once employees work across state lines. 📄

Federal forms like the I-9 and W-4 are consistent nationwide, but state and local requirements vary widely, from withholding forms and wage notices to paid leave info and workers' comp disclosures.

Remote I-9 verification also needs a consistent process, not an improvised one for each hire.
