Paul Hunt was also added to our Board of Directors at the annual March meetings.

Hunt joins the board representing URUS Group LP, bringing more than three decades of global dairy industry leadership experience. Raised on a Master Breeder Holstein operation in Ontario, Canada, Hunt developed a lifelong passion for genetics and breeding. He earned an honors degree in Agricultural Business from the University of Guelph and began his career with Alta Genetics. Over 30+ years, Hunt has held key leadership roles across the Alta, Koepon and URUS organizations, culminating in his current role as CEO of URUS. His career has focused on driving strategy, growth and innovation within the global dairy and beef industries. Hunt has also served on the boards of the Canadian Dairy Network, National Association of Animal Breeders and the Council for Dairy Cattle Breeding. He and his wife, Julie, reside in Wisconsin and have three children.

That's a wrap on the URUS Dairy Consulting Experience! 🐄

Today, participants wrapped up the week by presenting data insights and recommendations to local dairy producers, putting the consulting skills they learned throughout the week into action. Along with hands-on experience, they’re leaving equipped with new perspectives, connections that span the country and a strong foundation for future consulting success.

We couldn’t be more proud of the 19 participants for all their hard work and effort this week, and a special shoutout to K'ayum Clarke for being selected as the scholarship winner! 👏

We’re off and running in Madison, Wisconsin!

Yesterday was Day 1 of the Dairy Consulting Experience. We welcomed 19 participants to the URUS Headquarters and they got right to work, analyzing herd data and preparing presentations with insights from their first case study. 📈 Follow along for updates this week!

Welcome, URUS Family 2025 Interns! 🎉

This past week, we had the pleasure of welcoming 33 interns from across North America to Madison, WI for our annual Intern Training Week! During their time together, they dove into URUS products and programs, explored our family of brands, and built strong connections with each other and our dedicated URUS staff.

Now, they’re heading out to begin their internships across the U.S. and Canada—equipped with knowledge, inspiration, and a strong network to support their journey. These talented students will spend the summer gaining hands-on experience across the URUS Family, supporting our brands Alta Genetics, GENEX, Leachman Cattle, PEAK, Trans Ova Genetics, and VAS. With roles spanning marketing, sales, research, production, and more, they’ll be contributing to impactful projects that not only support our mission—but help shape their future careers.
