In the early 1990s Dr. Jan Krupp chose the Napa Valley because he saw, like so many before and since, there’s nowhere better to grow grapes. Soils that stress vines into producing intensely flavored fruit, long sun-drenched summers, and a marine influence that keeps the heat in check. The land does the work.
