In fact, it’s an act of bravery. If you are reading this, you are half way there already. Though we may not always want to admit to it, we all need at some point in our lives, someone to help guide us in a supportive and non-judgmental way. There is no need to feel guilty or embarrassed about it. The fact is, an outsider may see things we can’t because we are so close to it, and committing to a pl

When clients have years of paperwork to let go of, we love calling in Time Shred Services.

Their truck comes right to you, securely locks your bags into a bin, and shreds everything on site. You can even walk up to the truck and watch your documents being shredded live through a camera feed.

Secure, efficient, and honestly… very satisfying to watch. So cool.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and one of the things this work has taught me over the years is that clutter is rarely just about “stuff.”

Behind overwhelm there is often stress, burnout, decision fatigue, transitions, grief, ADHD, or simply life moving faster than our systems can keep up with.

Organizing is not about perfection.
It is about creating environments that support daily life a little better.

Less friction.
Less visual noise.
Less overwhelm.
More ease.

Sometimes even small “micro-resets” can help calm the nervous system and make a home feel more manageable again.

And that matters.

Nice to spend the evening with the Chapter at Electric Shuffle.

Good to connect with colleagues and business partners outside of work, catch up, and share ideas in a more relaxed, fun setting.

We also got playfully competitive. Third place went to Carmen , Jocelyn , and Alex . Second place to Shawn . And first place to our NAPO New York President, Katja .

Spring has officially arrived, and with it comes that urge to reset our spaces.

But here is the shift:
Organizing is not about buying more bins.
It is about making decisions.

What stays.
What goes.
What supports who you are today.

One line that stayed with me this month:
“Decisions, not storage bins, create organisation.”

At Clutter Cutter, this is exactly the work we do.
Helping you move from overwhelm to clarity, one decision at a time.

A small update from us:
Our team is growing.

Victoria and Sarah are now fully leading residential organizing projects, doing incredible work with our clients.
I am focusing more deeply on daily money management and productivity.
And we are thrilled to welcome Nicole, supporting us behind the scenes to ensure a seamless experience.

If you have been feeling the pull to reset this spring, start small.
One drawer is enough.

Even I get caught up in everyday life.

I wrote and sent my February newsletter… and then never got around to sharing it here.

Which, honestly, feels very on brand.

That newsletter was all about one core idea:
Decluttering is not a weekend project. It is a decision-making process.

I talked about:
• why clutter builds up (spoiler: postponed decisions, not laziness)
• how decision fatigue plays a role
• and simple, gentle ways to start without overwhelm

So here it is, a little late, but still very relevant. Link in profile. http://eepurl.com/jwC5Wk

If you have been feeling stuck, start small.
One drawer. One category. One decision.

March newsletter coming next.

So fun to gather with fellow organizers and partners this week ✨

The NAPO New York Chapter hosted a fantastic event at our business partner Other People’s Clothes in Williamsburg, alongside MaxSold.

It was energizing, practical, and full of real conversation about what happens after the decluttering decisions are made. Events like this help us expand our toolbox so we can better guide clients through the full lifecycle of their belongings — from editing and organizing to resale, consignment, and responsible transitions.

And of course… we had a little fun exploring this incredible store. Thoughtfully curated, beautifully merchandised, and such a reminder that letting go can create opportunity for someone else.

Grateful for strong partnerships, smart solutions, and a community committed to helping New Yorkers live with more clarity and less overwhelm. 💛

What a gift to slow down, zoom out, and think intentionally about what’s next.
An amazing strategy off-site with my accountability buddy Carmen —full of insight, laughter, and those “aha” moments you can’t rush.
Grateful for this pause, this place, and this partnership. 🤍
