I love you. 💖

Three simple words we sometimes assume we’ll always have another chance to say.

But we never know which conversation will be the last lucid one.
The last shared laugh.
The last story.
The last moment when they are fully present with us.

So I hold the memories close.

I am grateful for every lesson, prayer, story, laugh, recipe, warning, and piece of wisdom my ancestors passed down to me—both in the earthly realm and now from the spirit realm.

Love doesn’t disappear when someone transitions.
Sometimes, it simply learns another way to reach us.

Say I love you while you can.
And say it often.

💜 Today is World Alzheimer’s Day.

This one is personal.

I’ve watched Alzheimer’s touch two generations of women I love deeply — my grandmother and now my mother.

And caregiving has taught me that love doesn’t always look the way we imagined it would.

Sometimes love is repeating yourself without showing frustration.
Sometimes it’s learning not to correct every forgotten detail.
Sometimes it’s sitting beside someone you love and simply meeting them where they are.

And sometimes… love is admitting that you’re tired too.

This year’s theme reminds us that the earlier you know, the more you can do. A diagnosis gives families time to learn, prepare, ask questions, make decisions and find support.

But to the caregivers, I want to add this:

Please don’t lose yourself while trying to hold everything together.

I’ve learned that caring for my mother also requires me to care for the woman doing the caring.

So today, I honor my Grandma.
I honor my Mom.
And I honor every caregiver loving someone through the changes, the grief, the laughter, the hard days and the moments you’ll hold onto forever.

One day. One breath. One moment at a time. 💜
