🧶 This was a freestyle piece, using sc and mesh stitches, 3.5oz-5oz yarn bee low-pill fiber with a 3.5mm hook. I am left handed and made it in two parts, connected with sl st so I can easily separate it back to a shorter dress if I want. It was my first time making a dress and I love it lol.

Eagles 2, for me, symbolizes the fruition of the unseen sacrifice.

Over the course of the past year working on this project, I’ve seen Meechy’s growth in articulating his specific style spill over from lyricism to creative design in video treatments, improved performance sets, marketing strategy and even down to perfecting his grunge style look.

At the same time, I’ve watched him overcome incredible personal challenges, navigate relationships, and evolve as a leader and creator.

I have the extra benefit of having watched his growth across his career, and seeing his sound evolve into something even I - a down south gyal - could deeply relate to, has been beautiful to behold.

Only a handful of project executions over the years has gotten a 10/10 from me, but this is one of them hands down. Every detail from production to branding is something I am super proud of.

The very concept of the “eagle” is being able to rise above the noise, to not be afraid of being alone in the pursuit of your own mission. In the life, sometimes you have to be willing to stand up for what you believe in, even if that means standing alone.

How powerful it is to be surrounded by a team of people who are proven to stand up for their beliefs! I’m grateful to be doing what I love with the best doing it 🥂💙🦅
