PSA: Your “just following up” email deserves a little more strategy. 👀📩

In PR, persistence matters, but knowing when to follow up is just as important as knowing what to pitch.

📰 Give journalists time to review your pitch.
⏳ Aim for 2–4 business days before following up.
🎯 Working with a time-sensitive story? Make the deadline clear.
📊 And don’t assume the best time to pitch is always during traditional business hours.

Industry data suggests journalist engagement patterns may surprise you. The key isn’t to follow a one-size-fits-all formula. It’s to be thoughtful, strategic, and mindful of the relationships you’re building.
