We call friends. Family. Mentors.
We ask everybody what they think we should do.
But sometimes the question we need to ask is:
God, what do You want me to do?
I’m asking for clarity in business, relationships, health and motherhood.
What belongs in this season?
What needs to go?
Who am I supposed to serve?
How do I lead my children well?
How do I stop confusing fear, pressure and other people’s opinions with direction?
I don’t need another opinion.
I need wisdom that looks like divine guidance.
And then I need enough stillness to hear it.

A consumer shared that her repossessed vehicle was sold for $950 and she is now being sued for roughly $11,000.
My advice was simple: do not just accept that number without reviewing the documents.
Someone responded as if I had claimed the original contract disappeared.
I didn’t.
The actual issue is whether the creditor can legally establish the deficiency it is demanding, including whether the required notices were sent, whether the sale was commercially reasonable, and whether the deficiency was properly calculated.
That is why I pulled the Missouri law and case law.
Consumers deserve enough information to make educated decisions before jumping straight into defeat, bankruptcy, or a judgment they never questioned.
Wednesday at 7:30 PM Central, I’m going LIVE to talk repossessions, deficiency balances, notices, sale procedures, and consumer protections.
Bring your questions.

This morning I wrote a letter to God, and almost every prayer came back to the same request:
Lead me again.
Heal the trauma. Correct the negative thinking. Guide my children. Give me wisdom in my relationships. Bless my work, but also show me what I shouldn’t be working so hard to force.
And most of all:
Teach me to recognize Your voice again.
Sometimes surrender is not giving up.
Sometimes surrender is finally admitting that God can see further down the road than we can.
Tonight I’m releasing the pain of what happened before and asking God to lead me into what comes next.

One of the biggest mistakes consumers make is assuming that if a debt is still appearing on a credit report, the collector must still be able to sue over it.

Those are two different timelines.
The statute of limitations generally controls how long a creditor or debt collector has to bring a lawsuit to collect a particular debt. Once the applicable limitations period expires, the debt may become time barred for collection litigation. Federal debt collection rules prohibit covered debt collectors from suing or threatening to sue on time barred debt.

The credit reporting period is a separate issue.
That means you need to understand the type of debt, the dates involved, and the law that applies before deciding what to do next.

Do not react to old debt blindly.

Understand what you are actually dealing with first.
My $47 Dispute Kit is available for consumers who want help reviewing their own reports more intentionally.

Self employed borrowers need to understand this before applying for a mortgage.

If your business has consistently been paying a debt that is still personally in your name, such as a vehicle loan, there are situations where that payment may be excluded from your personal debt to income calculation when the lender can properly document the business payment history.

For conventional guidelines, that documentation period is commonly 12 months

That matters because removing a large monthly payment from your personal DTI can significantly change your approval picture.

Some business owners may also explore refinancing a legitimate business vehicle into the business name, but that should always be discussed with the mortgage lender first.

The real strategy is making sure your personal and business finances are structured correctly before you apply.

I cannot stand cooking the same meals over and over, so I’m always looking for something different that the whole family might actually eat.

I saw this recipe on Instagram the other night, dropped it in the family group chat, and everybody agreed it looked good.

So tonight I made it.

And BABY… this was an absolute winner.

Chicken, zucchini crust, arugula, tomato, onion, tzatziki, plus seasoned potatoes on the side.

It felt like a better choice without feeling like we were eating “diet food,” which is exactly what I need.

And yes, the last clip is my real first reaction because I had not tasted it yet. 😂

Definitely adding this one to the rotation.

One reason consumers get frustrated with credit disputes is because they assume someone at the credit bureau is personally reviewing every account from beginning to end.
That is not typically how the process works.
For many account disputes, the credit bureau sends the dispute electronically to the company that originally furnished the information, such as a lender, bank, or collection agency.
The FCRA still requires the credit bureau to conduct a reasonable reinvestigation, and the furnisher also has responsibilities to investigate the disputed information. Credit bureaus are also required to send relevant dispute information received from the consumer to the furnisher.
This is why vague, generic disputes are not the strategy.
You need to understand exactly what is inaccurate or incomplete and clearly identify the issue.
My $47 Dispute Kit was created for consumers who want to handle their own reports more intentionally.

Great credit does not automatically mean an easy homebuying process.
A mortgage approval can involve your income, debt to income ratio, tax returns, bank statements, employment structure, assets, credit profile and the documentation needed to support all of it.
That is why Homebuyer Concierge™ is not simply a service for people rebuilding damaged credit.
It is for future homebuyers who want guidance before and during one of the biggest financial decisions they will make.
You may have strong credit but complicated self employment income.
You may have a preapproval but not understand what could change the file before closing.
You may simply want someone experienced in your corner so you are not trying to figure everything out as you go.
The first step is the Approval Ready Review™, where we look at the full picture and determine what preparation or support your situation actually requires.
Approval isn’t luck. It’s preparation.™

Pay to delete can be an option in some collection situations, but it should not automatically be your first move.
Accurate negative information generally is not required to be removed simply because the account has been paid. If a collection is paid or settled, the reporting should generally be updated to reflect the new balance and status.
Before negotiating payment, review the account itself.
Is the balance accurate?
Are the dates correct?
Is the debt actually yours?
Is it being duplicated?
Is there inaccurate information that should be disputed first?
Cleaning up a credit report should not mean throwing money at every negative account without understanding the full picture.
That is exactly why the Approval Ready Review™ comes first.
We review what is actually reporting, what needs attention, and what the smartest next move may be before you start applying or paying accounts blindly.
Approval isn’t luck. It’s preparation.™

If you owe the IRS and homeownership is one of your goals, do not treat those as two completely separate issues.
An unresolved federal tax balance can become a federal tax lien, and that can create additional issues during mortgage underwriting.
Lenders may need documentation showing how the debt is being handled, including an active installment agreement and payment history depending on the loan program and lender requirements.
The biggest mistake is waiting until you are already trying to close on a home before addressing it.
Your tax situation, credit profile, debt obligations, income and documentation all work together in the approval process.
That is exactly why the Approval Ready Review™ looks at the full picture before you apply.
Approval isn’t luck. It’s preparation.™
