Pretty much every American these days has either been targeted by scammers or knows someone who has been in some way. A new AP poll shows that scams in the U.S. have surged to a record high, causing billions in losses for Americans. But the U.S. still lags behind some other countries in tackling the problem, holding financial and social media companies responsible and regulating the cryptocurrency scammers rely on. And although both the Trump administration and Congress are pursuing new options, victims still have little recourse and sometimes end up losing even more. Rich has more.

After a beautiful night on the North Shore of Long Island I am back at on the “AM and PM Drive” across the USA on ABC News Radio discussing a warning from over 100 Cyber companies.

They are advising that our hospitals and other critical infrastructure have only months to prepare for AI-enabled cyberattacks. They continue to advise that we will be facing a swarm of hacking attacks as AI makes sophisticated cyber capabilities cheaper and more accessible to attackers.

Programming Alert: I will be appearing on ABC News Radio affiliates across the USA this afternoon discussing the latest “Hack” by China. Per the FBI a group known as "QTFY" -- which includes former members of China's military -- has used its infrastructure to compromise critical infrastructure since 2018 in networks spanning from government agencies, hospitals, telecommunications providers, power companies and defense contractors.

Today, during the morning drive, I will again be on ABC News Radio across the USA discussing a threatening video the United States Secret Service is aware of and is purported to be posted online by the Iranians and directed at President Trump's youngest son Barron. It should be noted that the Secret Services policy as to commenting on who and how it protects…."Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence,"

Also to be discussed is Irans use of Criminal Gangs for external operations directed at America and its allies.

Today I will be on ABC News Radio across the USA discussing The United States Secret Service a threatening video posted by the Iranians directed at President Trump's youngest son, Barron as well as Iranians use of Criminal Gangs for external operations.
