How much water can a UH-60 Blackhawk carry? 💧🔥

HP’s UH-60 is configured with the Helitak FT4500 and carries 1,000 gallons, can refill while hovering in roughly 50 seconds, and deliver a full load in as little as 4.2 seconds.

When you’re working over rugged terrain on an active fire inaccessible to ground crews, every drop counts. The ability to make multiple drops in the shortest timeframe possible helps boots on the ground get the fire out fast.  We put that water where it’s needed most.

Our crews use dust abatement techniques whenever possible to help minimize blowing FOD and improve visibility during landing operations. But with an aircraft as powerful as the Sikorsky UH-60 Blackhawk, some dust is simply part of the job.
