In this episode of the Real Rhinelander Podcast, we sit down with Courtney Smith, Executive Director of the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry. Courtney shares her journey to Rhinelander and what led her to her role at the Food Pantry. We talk about the programs and services the pantry provides, the important role volunteers play, and some of the common misconceptions surrounding food insecurity. We also explore the many ways the pantry supports our neighbors and how community members can get involved in its work.

We did draw the 50/50 before the crowd left and the winner went home with $130! Thank you for your support and we hope you enjoyed the swag!

As summer starts to wind down, so does Maddie’s time with us as our Tourism & Visitor Experience Intern.

Maddie has been a wonderful addition to our team this summer, jumping right in with creativity, initiative, and a willingness to take ownership of the projects she was given. We especially loved watching her take the lead on the Sweet Stop Stroll, turning an idea into a brand-new promotion that brought together downtown businesses and gave residents and visitors another fun way to explore Rhinelander.

Maddie, thank you for all of the ideas and hard work you brought to the Chamber and Visitor Center this summer. We’ve loved having you as part of our team and are excited to see where your next adventures take you!
