Meet Hailey Breakwell – California Advisor
College Baseball Softball Recruiting is excited to welcome Hailey Breakwell as our California Advisor, bringing an outstanding combination of Division I playing experience, international competition, collegiate coaching, athlete development, and mental performance expertise to the CBSR team.
Hailey was a four-year starter at Idaho State University, where she helped lead the Bengals to three consecutive conference championships and was named Conference Player of the Year in 2014. After completing her collegiate career, she transitioned into Division I coaching, serving on the staffs at Wichita State University and Saint Francis University, with both programs earning NCAA Regional appearances during her time on staff.
A dual citizen of New Zealand and the United States, Hailey has also represented New Zealand internationally, competing through the Olympic qualification cycle and continuing to compete with the national program at major international events.
In 2020, Hailey founded Hailey Breakwell Performance, an athlete-development business focused on softball instruction, mental performance, clinics, camps, team training, and mentorship. As a certified Mental Performance Coach, she is passionate about helping young athletes build confidence, resilience, leadership, and the skills needed to succeed both on and off the field.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Hailey brings firsthand knowledge of what it takes to progress from youth softball to the Division I level and beyond. In her role with CBSR, she will work with baseball and softball athletes and families throughout California and across the United States, helping them better understand the college pathway, prepare for the recruiting process, and identify opportunities that fit their academic and athletic goals.
We are incredibly excited to have Hailey join the CBSR family and bring her experience, passion, and commitment to athlete development to the families we serve.
