Rideau Vineyard Boutique wines in a historical adobe! Founded in 1997, Rideau Vineyard has been producing highly-acclaimed, small-lot wines for two decades.

Our thirteen acres of estate vines are comprised of five Rhône varietals—Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Viognier, and Roussanne—which are harvested by hand and bottled as highly-expressive blends and varietal wines. We also source from top vineyards in the region to produce additional Rhône and non-Rhône varietals such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sangiovese, and Malbec. In addition to the unique setting of our historic adobe tasting room, the beautiful picnic grounds attract weekenders and locals alike to relax on the rolling green lawns in the shade of century-old oak trees.

Our Estate Reserve Viognier is being barreled down, moving from stainless steel into oak for the next stage of its journey.

It’s a hands-on process that takes care, precision, and a whole lot of hoses. Every step brings us closer to the w**e that will eventually make its way into your glass.

Each harvest, W**emaker Adrienne Rule and her children carry on a family tradition, stomping the grapes for our Estate Reserve Viognier before they head to the press.

It’s more than just a fun harvest ritual. Gently crushing the grapes underfoot breaks the skins and releases the juice, allowing it to spend time with the skins before pressing, helping draw out the beautiful aromatics, texture, and character that make Viognier so special.

Messy feet, happy kids, and a tradition that has become part of the story of this w**e.

August, you were good to us.
⁠
From summer evenings spent together at After Hours, to slowing down for National Relaxation Day with Yoga at the estate, and ending the month under the stars with Best in Show for Movie Night, August gave us plenty of reasons to linger a little longer.⁠

And somewhere in between, harvest began! Our first fruit of the season made its way into the w**ery, officially kicking off one of our favorite (and busiest!) times of year.

Mostly, we’re just grateful for these late summer days spent sipping w**e, soaking up the sunshine, watching a new vintage begin, and sharing our little corner of the valley with some of our favorite people.⁠

Here’s to a beautiful August at Rideau, a new harvest underway, and a few more beautiful summer days before we say goodbye to the season. ✨⁠

The little face you see on the corks of our Adobe Series w**es belongs to Antoinette, our owners’ beloved dog, whose likeness was forever made part of Rideau.

It feels especially fitting that we’re also proudly dog-friendly. Bring your four-legged companion along for your next visit, there’s always room for another w**ery dog around here. 🤍
