Vineyard crews are masters of their craft. These men and women take real pride in getting the best fruit into the bins and off to the w**ery. We pick at night, when the air is cool, so the clusters arrive clean and chilled—exactly how the w**emakers want them to begin their work.

We harvested the only block of Durell Vineyard Syrah last night, delivered to the w**ery early this morning. There isn't much of it, estimated to be about 70 cases, but it's delicious!

Pinot Noir veraison in early July means harvest will be around mid August. Earlier than most years.

Exact timing changes based on the grape type, the local weather, and the style of w**e being made. For instance, Pinot Noir has thin skins and ripens early, while Cabernet Sauvignon has thick skins and ripens much later.
