Associate Elliott Cairney was one of just 12 professionals invited by the RICS President to attend the Leaders of the Future Lunch at RICS HQ last week. The event brought together a select group of members from across the construction industry, recognised for their contribution to RICS and the wider profession, with Elliott representing MGAC. There were some brilliant conversations around how RICS can continue to:
Inspire and attract the next generation of surveyors
Provide stronger educational and CPD support for members
Develop and improve the APC experience for both candidates and assessors
Give future leaders a meaningful voice in shaping the profession

MGAC is proud to support the restoration of Brighton’s historic Madeira Terraces — an iconic stretch of Grade II-listed seafront architecture.

Working with Brighton & Hove City Council, our team is providing cost management and carbon advisory services to help bring this landmark back to life. At the heart of the project is a commitment to sustainability. Through whole-life carbon assessments and circular-economy strategies, MGAC is helping align the restoration with ambitious Net-Zero goals, supporting both the preservation of heritage and a more sustainable future for Brighton’s seafront. The project includes the restoration of the original cast iron arches alongside new public realm enhancements, improved pedestrian and cycle access, and the introduction of new amenities to reconnect visitors with this unique part of the coastline.

Last Friday, we celebrated the topping out of the $50.8M Fort Lincoln Campus Improvement Project in of Washington, DC!

“This new campus will offer residents of every age a place to learn, play, and connect,” said DPR Construction Director Thennie Freeman.

From early childhood education to recreation and wellness programming, this space reflects what’s possible when we invest in community. As Director Delano Hunter Sr. shared, it represents “the very best of what DGS does—building spaces that matter to DC families.”

The Center for Advanced Medicine and Surgery (CAMS) at White Plains Hospital in New York set out with an ambitious vision of modernization in 2015, investing $250M into advanced technology and a state-of-the-art facility.

MGAC served as the technology owner's representative and strategic partner for the project, creating a technology blueprint that served as an essential guide and communication tool for key stakeholders. Through a multi-phase initiative spanning nearly 1M SF of clinical and support space, the project redefined how environments support patients, clinicians, and communities.

We’re proud to share that MGAC’s 111 Bourke Street (SX Stage 2) project has been named a finalist for the Council on Vertical Urbanism 2026 Repositioning Awards.

Located in Melbourne’s CBD, the 21-story commercial office building is part of the vibrant East End precinct and reflects the evolving role of adaptive reuse in shaping modern workplaces.
