Kicking off 2026 in Estelí, Nicaragua at the Puro Sabor Cigar Festival.

I’ve enjoyed ci**rs for years, but being here hits different. Standing in the to***co fields where it all begins gives you a whole new appreciation for the craft — the tradition, the process, and most importantly the people behind every leaf.

There’s an old cigar industry adage that a single premium handmade cigar touches “300 hands” — symbolizing the hundreds of artisans, from farmers to rollers, who meticulously cultivate and craft the final product.

I recently had the privilege of visiting the Army Community Service (ACS) and Military and Family Readiness Center (MRFC) at Joint Base Langley-Eustis. This visit was an eye-opening experience, highlighting the incredible support and resources available to our military servicemembers and their families.

I am deeply impressed by the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in these programs. Their efforts ensure that our service members and their families receive the support they need to thrive both during and after their service.

Thank you to the team at Joint Base Langley-Eustis for your warm welcome and for the invaluable work you do every day. Your unwavering dedication to supporting our military community is truly commendable.
