From construction coordination and site observations to solving problems in real time, our Construction Management team has been working hard all summer to help make sure these schools were ready for students and staff this week.

What does an architect actually do?

Last week, Kenna got to find out! During her job shadow with GYMO's Architecture Department, she visited job sites, joined project meetings, and even designed a cottage of her own. We loved having Kenna spend a few days with us, and we hope she left with a better understanding of the creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving that go into a career in architecture!

GYMO's Construction Management team is working with General Brown Central School District and the project team as renovations continue throughout their schools. With summer winding down and teachers getting ready to return, there's plenty happening to keep the project moving forward.

This week, our Architecture Department had the pleasure of hosting Cyla as a job shadow.

From site visits and client meetings to design discussions and behind-the-scenes collaboration, she jumped right in to see what a career in architecture really looks like. We're always excited to share our profession with the next generation and help students explore the many paths available. Thanks for spending the week with us, Cyla.
