Before AI sends the report, decide who approves it.

It is the night before the grant report is due. The draft looks clean. But when it goes to the funder, who approved it? Not who wrote it. Who checked every number and said yes.

A simple path that holds:
1. Sources: name the only places the report can draw from. Personal info stays out.
2. AI drafts: every figure cited. No guessing. Unconfirmed numbers get removed or marked pending.
3. People review: an owner and a backup check each figure, and approval is in writing.
4. A person submits. The AI tool never does.

Funder report numbers need a source. Before an AI tool drafts anything, name the only places your report is allowed to draw from. Every figure gets a source. If a number cannot be confirmed, it does not get guessed. It gets removed, or labeled as pending. Funders can work with pending. A guessed number is much harder to take back. I would rather be honest than sell you something. Sometimes you should not automate your funder report. One or two funders and a simple annual report?
