As the first wine and brewing estate in the Southern Hemisphere, we run a small but growing winery and vineyard, micro brewery & water bottling plant, situated in the Western Cape of South Africa. Our beautiful country estate is situated near the heritage town of Stanford, in the shadow of the Klein Rivier mountains, bordering the cold Atlantic Ocean. There is a unique mix of different soil types

on the farm including decomposed granite, shale and outcrops of limestone. Additionally, the cool climate terroir allows our grapes a long ripening period for the production of concentrated, yet balanced wines that have true sense of place.

Once again a moment of immense pride for Walker Bay Estate Stanford A326

We are delighted to announce that our Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 and Syrah 2022 have each been awarded Gold Medals at the 2026 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, one of the world’s most respected and influential international wine competitions.
We also collected a silver medal for our Semilion Sauvignon Blanc 2023.
This double Gold distinction is a powerful recognition of our unwavering commitment to quality, craftsmanship, the extraordinary terroir of Walker Bay and the skills of our wine maker, Anneke Steenkamp & her team.

The IWSC has unveiled the results of its 2026 Wine Judging in London.
Following two weeks of rigorous tasting by more than 130 of the UK's leading wine professionals; nearly 4,000 wines from 39 countries were assessed. Italy and France came out on top with the most medals but we are really proud that our boutique wine farm in Stanford took home six medals.
