BCG’s latest CEO Insomnia Index surveyed ~500 CEOs and the findings are striking:

Senior leadership teams were ranked among the top 3 most stressful stakeholder groups. 1 in 3 CEOs say they have more to prove to their boards than 6 months ago. Over half say near-term pressures consume an outsized share of their time.

Chronic stress erodes the cognitive functions that high-quality decisions depend on — attention, memory, and problem solving.

Leader wellbeing isn’t a nice-to-have. It’s a performance imperative.
