If there’s one thing I have learned over 6+ years teaching brands how to DIY their PR, it’s that time is one of our most leverageable AND precious resources!

So I’ve created an AI cheat sheet to make your pitching easier! You can grab the AI cheat sheet with Hack Your Own PR 50% off until June 30.

I want you to win headlines, AND I also want to save you some time.

After a lot of trial and error, I have done the heavy lifting for you and created a cheat sheet on how to Hack Your Own PR using your fave AI tool.

This will turn a 1-hour pitch writing task into a less than 30 min task. Once you nail the prompts you will shave hours off your PR outreach saving substantial $$ in PR fees.

This resource will:

—Help you lay the foundations for your story angles
—Craft a pitch for a publication you’ve always wanted to be featured in
—Structure a well-written media release for your next big launch

What’s included?

—Step-by-step instructions
—Product, event and thought leadership pitches, media releases and angle prompts
—Background research instructions
—Examples of finished products (headlines, pitches, and media releases)

Caveaat please! AI will take you 60% of the way, then you need to stretch and extend your ideas and make it your own.

Sick of being ‘the best kept secret’ in your industry?!

You gotta put yourself out there. 50–80% of media wins come from pitching. Often a cold email to an email someone found online, scratching around for a way in.

You don’t need to be the expert-iest expert, or the biggest badass in your niche, you just need good ideas, robust opinions, and a sprinkling of self belief.

So let’s stop thinking self-promotion is gross.

And start thinking of it as an essential business tool, a lever to share your work with those who need it.

Sadly, too many brilliant, capable founders are sitting on the sidelines because they’re scared of looking ‘too much’.

But I say, go and be your best ‘too much’ version of yourself, and learn how to pitch your biz to media.

Many change makers spend years refining solutions but struggle to share them publicly.

You spend years researching it.
Living it.
Building it.
Testing it.

But if the people who need your ideas never hear you, if the decision makers and funders never see you in media, your impact is limited.

Even though it feels bluddy gross to self promote. Visibility isn’t vanity, it’s an essential part of the change making work.

Learn how to share your ideas with the people who can amplify them.

Everything is not okay!

I’ve been on a lot of calls lately, clients, my team, people just trying to get a read on what’s going on in biz atm, and the same thing keeps surfacing.

So many of us are working harder for the same money. Or less. NFPs knocking on doors for funding. Sales in ecomm harder to come by.

Fuel threw us for six, rates ticked up again, the budget announcements felt like a blow for those never ending ATO payments, and the resilience we’ve been proud of in ourselves in the past, is running on empty.

When so many of us feel burnt out, it’s bluddy hard to feel optimistic without feeling like you’re gaslighting yourself...but the infuriating thing is... we absolutely need to hold onto hope rn.

Holding onto hope doesn’t mean pretending things are fine. We have agreed they are NOT okay.

For me, it means putting my energy somewhere I can actually move the needle. Acting local, reinvesting my creative energy in my business...and spending plenty of time with my wonderful pals.

We can’t do much about the impact of Trump’s megalomaniac war and the flow on to the econonic landscape our businesses operate in... but we can do something about whether the right people know we exist.

(how’s that for a segue...!)

That’s the whole point of Hack Your Own PR.

Winning your own headlines, with your own skills, without waiting for a PR budget that isn’t coming (right now).

Hack Your Own PR is 50% off (but not for long)

It’s EOFY, so for the next 4 weeks, you can sign up to Hack Your Own PR for $250 instead of $500.

What that’s looked like for past clients:
- Our campaign with Odette & Co generated $156,000 in quantifiable returns in 2 months
- Since starting PR, I’ve seen a 75% increase in revenue
- My first media story generated over $40,000 in sales
- I sold my business for $9.5M - because of the consistent visibility and PR

Sign up today and use CODE: FIDDYOFF for 50% OFF! The offer is valid until midnight on June 30.

Big love to you as we all stand together in the polycrisis, just pitchin’ our lil stories out!

Working with and Sam Henderson at is nothing short of a bluddy dream. We've been given space to play with ideas and shape events that connect big thinkers with the community ready to get behind them, and we're bluddy excited about what's coming next.

In July, the NRCF Women's Giving will host an incredible event, No Small Thing, at The Regent Theatre in Murwillumbah, featuring a line up of of .co, .reinecke of , Robyn James formerly , Evie Wood from and .

Why No Small Thing?

Well, the problems shaping women's and girls' lives are vast, connected, and easy to feel powerless against. But the most powerful place to shift them might also be the smallest: the local, the grassroots, the room we're sitting in.

The event will explore the interconnected web of climate, gender, media and democracy.

When optimism is hard to find, and conversations of hope can feel like we're being gaslit, it's essential to hear from the people making progress.

The event brings together women leading change across the global environmental movement, engaging the next generation in politics, connecting Australians to First Nations culture, and improving health for Aboriginal mothers locally, for an evening of systems thinking, challenging conversation, and a sprinkling of hope.

I'd love to see you there!

Sometimes it can feel impossible to do a good job at life. Between packing lunchboxes, managing sports schedules, while launching campaigns, presenting at conferences…and trying to stay on top of our tax bills.

It feels like we’re drowning.

But, we exist inside a version of capitalism that runs on invisible care labour and then pretends that labour doesn’t exist.

And it’s catching up with us.

Small business owners — 89% of us — are among the most burnt out people in the country.

And sadly…Most of us aren’t getting help for it, and we often don’t realise where to get support.

So that’s what we talked about. How we move through the mess.

grew up in the shadow of the Greek phrase: ‘Is she a Nikokira?’ Aka: ‘Is she a good housewife?’

She was raised with two expectations:
Build a big career.
And hold everything together at home.
hooper.coach got fired up about:
‘Can you have it all?’ And: ‘All you can do is your best.’
Two things which are fundamentally impossible.

Unsurprisingly for a former lawyer, Ellen has very successfully argued her way into an equitable dynamic at home.

’s family has been navigating serious health issues while raising four kids, inside a brutal economic climate for ecommerce businesses.

Each of us navigating the exhaustion, resentment, guilt, and fear.

There were tears and lols, and a f**k load of honesty.

But it is important for each of us to remember that this tension and our sense of personal failing, is not ours to own, it’s a systemic failure.

For anyone curious to deep dive on the f**kery of this tension would be well served to read Who Cooked Adam Smith’s Dinner? by Katrine Marçal.

Adam Smith is best known as a founding figure of capitalism.

The great irony is that while Adam Smith was writing his thesis of capitalism… he lived with his mother for most of his life… and every night… she cooked his dinner.

Out of care and love - something his economic principles ignored.

For anyone negotiating fairness inside relationships and family life, this book gives such a useful systemic lens.

And potentially… the foundations for a very well-argued arm wrestle at home if needed.

There are many times when recording late into the evenings, after a huge day of work that I think the three of us hosts, plus our guests, are cooked and can think of several other things our tired bodies and minds crave us to do...aka bed, dinner with family, binge watching reality TV...

And yet, every interview, every conversation lights me up, energises me, stretches me, and brings so much nourishment to my own personal development.

Now... I'm not going to lie, I had a good and proper spiral about this episode.
I’ve been following 's work from afar, particularly since the 2025 Budget Lockup and David Pocock’s successful campaign, knowing she has played a pivotal role in both, and in securing a seat for social media influencers in critical political conversations.

As someone who works in comms and nerds out on all things campaign strategy, politics and change making, Holly's work has stood out head and shoulders above most I see in industry. And there is a reason for that, she's bluddy smart, intuitively understands the zeigeist, and has a firm understanding of the intersection of culture and politics.

But what I didn't realise going into this interview, and it will sound deeply ill-prepared, (I can assure you I've spent countless hours reading articles, listening to her speeches) but I kinda missed how much of her musical artistry was key to both her identity and her work.

You see, I was born kinda missing the musical gene. I listen to hard trance to focus as a wall of sound and I'd much rather listen to an audiobook, podcast or the news...conversations and ideas are my soulfood.

So, it would be fair to say, that I spent a large proportion of this conversation in my head, feeling like a disrespectful fool, as it really landed for me how intense my blinkers were in my preparation because of my frothing over her work comms and political strategy work.

All of this to say, Holly is a bluddy smart human, of incredible depth and artistry, and this was a deeply fascinating conversation.

I'll love to hear what you think.
