Australia’s changing Capital Gains Tax landscape is putting a new focus on business valuations.

Meet David Young - Director, Azimuth Partners.

David Young is an experienced accountant, board advisor, and business valuation specialist with 35 years of practice, preparing business valuations and forensic reports since 1997.

His experience spans expert witness appointments before the Federal Court of Australia, Supreme Courts and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, along with valuations for acquisitions, employee share schemes and strategic business planning. In the past year alone, David has valued more than 60 entities with a combined value exceeding $400 million across Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.

A Fellow of the IPA and IFA, David also serves on the BVI UK Standards and Ethics Board and has completed international business valuation training.

David enjoys helping business owners and their advisers better understand business value and the opportunities it can create.
