Today, Garry Dawson one of our directors had the privilege of attending the 25th Anniversary 9/11 Commemoration in Towns County, Georgia, USA.

It was a moving experience to stand shoulder to shoulder with fellow emergency responders and members of the wider community as we remembered those who lost their lives and honoured the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who answered the call on one of the most significant days in modern history.

As an Australian attending this event in the United States, I felt deeply honoured to represent not only myself, but also the organisations that have played such an important role in my professional journey. I proudly stood as a former and/or serving member of Fire EMT Pty Ltd, Fire EMT USA LLC, Australian Aviation Rescue Firefighting, the Australian Union of Firefighters (AUFU), and the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).

The ceremony was a powerful reminder that the values of service, dedication, professionalism, and community know no borders. Whether in Australia or the United States, emergency responders share a common commitment to protecting and supporting those we serve.

Thank you to the Towns County community for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful and respectful commemoration.

We remember. We honour. We never forget.

We are pleased to announce that Fire EMT has signed a 5-year Standing Agreement with Brisbane Airport Corporation, further strengthening a successful partnership that has now extended across 18 years.

As Brisbane Airport continues its rapid expansion, with an impressive number of projects currently underway, our team remains committed to supporting BAC with practical and professional support in line with Australian Standards and State Regulations.

We are also proud to have secured a 3-year contract for emergency planning services associated with the Aerobridge Replacement Project (across both the International and Domestic Terminal) - an important infrastructure initiative that will contribute to the airport's future growth and operational capability.

We appreciate the trust Brisbane Airport Corporation continues to place in Fire EMT and we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved so far and even more excited for what the future beholds.

We would like to introduce you to another important member of the Fire EMT team, who is a large part of our behind-the-scenes operation. Meet Leiarnah, not only is she a winner and a track queen on the go kart track, but she is also a winner in fire safety and a pivotal part of our administration and operations team.

Leiarnah encapsulates all the best values Fire EMT withhold, including being a passionate and hardworking individual who is always there to support the team and has the best interests in mind for every colleague and client she works with.

While Leiarnah is a large part of the behind-the-scenes team that you don't see often, you will feel her influence in every step of the way with any Fire EMT communications, booking processes and services. We are grateful to have such a valuable team member who prioritises the care of both our team and our clientele.

Like several members of the Fire EMT team, Steve is also a (very) keen cat lover 🐱😂. We think it's no coincidence that someone who spends time around cats has developed such patience and attention to detail!

Our instructors were out in force last week! 🧯

Across multiple sites and industries, the Fire EMT team delivered emergency instruction and practical exercises (in line with AS3745:2010 & QBFSR), with these being just two of the many jobs completed during the week.

✈️ Warden instruction conducted in live airport environments
🚗 Simulated evacuation exercises delivered for a national car rental client.

Every session helps build confidence, strengthen response capability, and ensure workplaces are prepared when it matters most.
