A recent installation completed in Portsea featuring a powerful Sigenergy solar and battery system designed to help this homeowner make the most of their solar energy.

We got to work early with this installation to make sure that all the wiring would be hidden in the walls, keeping everything nice & tidy.

System specifications:

This Portsea project has seen a bit of everything. Rain, hail, sunshine... and then more rain. 🌦️

The team kept pushing through to get this 42-panel SunPower system installed, making the most of every weather window we could find.

Not every install comes with perfect conditions, but sometimes you’ve just got to work with what the Peninsula throws at you.

A lot of solar owners focus on panels and batteries, but never revisit their electricity plan.

That can leave savings sitting on the table.

Some retailers now offer:
• Cheap overnight EV tariffs
• Free daytime electricity windows
• Time-of-use rates that may work better with batteries

In some cases, battery owners can charge overnight using low-cost electricity, then use that stored power during expensive peak periods.

But there are constraints.
Not every EV tariff is available to every household.
And some plans come with trade-offs elsewhere in the pricing structure.

If you already have solar or battery storage, it’s worth checking whether your current tariff still suits how your home actually uses energy.

A good place to start is the Victorian Compare Energy website.

Shoreham install with a bit of extra detail behind the scenes.

Because this home has a copper roof, we used specialised S5 brass feet to create a barrier between the aluminium mounting system and copper roof sheeting. Small details like this matter for long-term performance and protecting the roof.

This one’s also being set up for a full Fronius ecosystem down the track, including a Fronius Reserva battery and Wattpilot Flex EV charger closer to the completion date.
