We’re thrilled to announce that our 2025 Medhurst Estate Chardonnay has been named in the Halliday W**e Companion Top 100 w**es 2026: Best White W**es over $40.

There are some incredible w**es included here that we’re proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with. Congratulations to everyone!

A couple of notes from Philip Rich…

Matured in barriques and puncheons (30% new). A super floral w**e with a bouquet of stone fruits, pink grapefruit, oyster shell minerality and a hint of spicy oak. The palate is gently textured and concentrated without being heavy. The finish is saline and long. Exceptional. Worth every cent and more. – Philip Rich

New release alert!

2025 Yarra Valley Shiraz, a first for us in our Yarra Valley Range at Medhurst!

Our Yarra Valley Range is focused on our lower price-point w**es produced from premium, Estate grown fruit. These are designed to be consumed in their youth, and great representations of their regional styles.

Vintage 2025 produced such incredible Shiraz fruit, and we felt compelled to express this in different ways across our range of w**es. Rubbing shoulder to shoulder with our 2025 Yarra Valley Syrah, this offers a robust and equally approachable style, in which our Yarra Valley Range of w**es are so well known for. We’re super excited for you to try it!

A couple of notes from our Chief W**emaker Rohan:
‘Crimson red with vibrant purple hues the aromatics are heady and perfumed, full of dark berries and pepper spice. On the palate, this powerful w**e shows juicy boysenberry, blackberry, and satsuma plum with layers of black licorice, cacao and spicy complexity sitting inside the fruit. The long chewy tannin draws the w**e together and delivers a focused and intense finish.’

2 0 2 5. R E S E R V E. S H I R A Z.

We have recently released our 2025 Reserve Shiraz, the first Reserve Shiraz we’ve made since 2012!

2025 was an outstanding vintage for us at Medhurst, and this was echoed in some great results from the Halliday W**e Companion team which included a score of 98 for our Reserve Shiraz.

‘50% whole bunches. The first Reserve since ‘12 and worth the wait. A deep, bright purple. Aromas of black cherry, black licorice, violets and baking spices; it’s even more perfumed than the brilliant ‘24 Estate. Wonderfully intense without being heavy on the palate, with the whole bunches perfectly integrated. The tannins are as long as the finish. A classic in the making that will age gracefully for 15-plus years. 50 dozen’

You can find this on the pour at our Cellar Door as part of our ‘Horizontal Perspective’ tasting experience, or by the glass if you fancy spending some time with it! It’s drinking extremely well now, and we are excited to see how it evolves over time. With only 630 bottles produced, this is such a great example of small-batch w**e making.

Get in quick, as we anticipate this disappearing quickly!

AFL Grand Final is upon us, and we’ll be open all weekend.

Join us for a tasting of our award-winning w**es, of which there are plenty of options to choose from. Or simply enjoy a glass or two in our garden.

Our ‘Food for W**e’ menu will be running all weekend also, offering some great quality, w**e-focused snacks to enjoy with our w**es.

We are super kid friendly with plenty of space for them to run around and explore. We will also be offering complimentary toasties for little people on Saturday & Sunday, so bring the kids down and make an afternoon of it!

Recently awarded ‘Best Rosé at the W**e Yarra Valley W**e Awards, our 2026 Medhurst Estate Rosé is certainly on pour at our Cellar Door. Come on down and see for yourself why it gets so much attention!

‘Brilliant and clear in appearance the w**e sparkles in the glass with a pale and vibrant salmon hue. The nose opens up with delicate jasmine florals, wild strawberries and tangerine with just a hint of bay leaf. The fine and lithe palate is brimming with juicy red currants, pink grapefruit, fresh strawberries and cream, blood orange and has mouth filling texture with lovely fruit weight. This single vineyard Rose has a trademark long, chalky and mineral line and a delicate, dry finish that will leave you salivating for more!’ – Rohan Smith, Chief W**emaker

We have multiple tasting options available, including the newly introduced option of our Vertical ‘23,’24, and ‘25 Estate Pinot Noir.
