Some great news out of Victoria we are excited to share! Our contract with Wyndham City Council has officially been extended following a competitive tender process.

It’s a partnership we’re really proud to have continued, and one that sits particularly close to home for the Allied team.

Wyndham City Council sits just down the road from our office, and many of our Allied officers live in and around the area. They have a familiarity and connection to their community they already know inside and out.

A massive thanks to the Wyndham City Council team for the continued trust in us, we are looking forward to this next chapter!

Recruitment is one of the most consequential decisions shaping the quality of any security contract.

In our latest piece, we've written openly about the recruitment challenges facing the security sector. And the impact those challenges have on clients when hiring gets rushed and the approach we've taken across our operations in Australia and New Zealand to address it.

A worthwhile read for anyone interested in the wider conversation around security and recruitment.🔗 https://allied-security.com.au/security-recruitment-challenges/

This is the difference a specialist loss prevention team makes. We’re pleased to have played our part in a successful operation with law enforcement at a retail site in Rockhampton.

The feedback that came in from Police tells the story of what a well run operation like this can achieve when the retailer, the security partner and law enforcement are all pulling in the same direction.

Another fantastic outcome for our retail security division and a strong sign of what's ahead as we continue growing our loss prevention capability across the country.

Introducing our NSW State Manager - Cam Stuart!

Cam's journey in the security industry started in a pretty memorable way 26 years ago, as a Guard at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Not a bad opening chapter, and the start of a career that has taken him through pretty much every corner of the industry since!

Along the way he's held senior operational roles across the country and picked up an OSPA for Outstanding Contract Security Manager in 2022, one of the biggest honours in the industry.

What Cam loves most about the job is the people side of it. Leading and mentoring the NSW team, sharing what he's picked up over 26 years and helping develop the next wave of security professionals coming

Outside of work, Cam is a lifelong rugby league man and a diehard Newcastle Knights supporter. He played as a junior himself and has spent years since volunteering in Junior Rugby League, giving back to the game he grew up loving. He's also a proud husband and a father to three daughters.

Cam brings the kind of experience you can't shortcut, and it’s great to have him leading our NSW operations!

Another exciting development from our retail security division! We have officially been appointed as the security provider for Zara across their stores in Australia.

Global retail has changed a lot over the last decade. Stores are as much about brand experience as they are about the product on the shelves, and the security team on the floor is part of how that experience lands with customers.

Brand focused security delivery is at the core of how our retail division operates.

Our approach is built around aligning the way our officers present and engage with the brand they're representing.

Zara is a fantastic addition to our growing portfolio of retail clients, and we're really looking forward to supporting the team across their stores!

A big welcome to Erum, who's just joined our NSW Recruitment team!

Erum has spent years working across both high volume frontline campaigns and specialist recruitment, so she knows how to move fast when it matters and how to slow down when the right person needs to be found.

She's responsive, a great listener and a big believer that great recruitment is all about matching people well, not just ticking a box.

Erum is also a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion and brings that lens into every role she recruits for.

Her approach in one line: "The right person in the right role changes everything."

When she's not at work, Erum is either on a badminton court or you'll find her watching a good horror!

We're hiring across a range of roles right now. If you're thinking about your next move in the security industry, Erum is the person to speak to!

Client feedback is the best kind of feedback.

One of our security officers Haroon Noori received outstanding feedback from our client, recognising his passion for the role and the way he goes beyond standard security duties and looking out for those around him.

State Manager Cam Stuart presented Haroon with a certificate to mark it, with Site Manager Kashif, Client Delivery Manager Patricia and client Nick all there to show their appreciation.

We're really proud of the frontline teams we have out there.

Officers who take pride in their work, look after their sites and represent us to exceptional standards. Well done Haroon!

We had a fantastic time at Retail Risk and the Heroes of Retail Risk Awards yesterday, it was a great opportunity to recognise the people behind the work happening across the retail security sector.

Yusuf, our Retail Security Specialist at Coles, took out the win for Community Hero Award! It was very rewarding to see Yusef’s contribution acknowledged, and we’re very proud to have Yusuf representing our team!

We always walk away from this event with new ideas and a better understanding of what is happening across the sector, which feeds directly into how we approach our work with clients across Australia and New Zealand.

A huge thank you to Paul Bessant and the Retail Risk team for another great event, and congratulations to Yusuf and all nominees + winners!

Some news we are proud to share ahead of Retail Risk. Yusuf, one of our Retail Security Specialists at Coles Balaclava, has been nominated for a Community Heroes Award.

Yusuf's role at Coles Balaclava is one of our newer purpose built retail security roles, designed to go well beyond what traditional uniformed guarding looks like.

Yusuf has been in the role for six months. In that time he has made a real difference at Coles with not only loss prevention numbers, but in the way he has integrated into the store team and the community around it.

Yusuf, you have a proud team backing you tomorrow!

12/08/2026

One of the biggest days in the retail security calendar kicks off tomorrow and our team are looking forward to being back at the one and only Retail Risk!

If you are attending, drop by and visit our retail security team. It is one of the best chances of the year to get properly stuck into a conversation about what is going on in the industry and we’re always up for a chat to discuss all things retail security.

See you in Melbourne tomorrow!
