🚨The EU has just sent a clear message to the fashion industry: waste is no longer an acceptable business model.

From 19 July 2026, large companies selling into the EU can no longer destroy unsold clothing, accessories, and footwear.

Instead, businesses are expected to prioritize reuse, resale, remanufacturing, recycling, and other circular solutions.

The new rules are part of the EU's Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), designed to keep valuable materials in circulation for longer.

For us, this isn't just regulatory news. It's validation of a direction we've believed in from the beginning. At Planet Protector, we don't see waste. We see high-performance raw material.

That's why we created JEANIUS™ Australia's first insulation made from recycled post-industrial denim.

Rather than allowing valuable fibres to become waste, JEANIUS™ gives them a second life as insulation that delivers:

👖 Up to R6 thermal performance
🔇 Excellent acoustic performance
🏡 Non-toxic, non-itch comfort
🇦🇺 Australian-made

The future isn't just about making products more sustainable. It's about ensuring materials never become waste in the first place.

Let’s build a future where materials never become waste.

What happens when sustainable building materials become an experience? At this year’s Green Desugn Show by Informa, guests had the opportunity to step inside our JEANIUS™ Tunnel and experience recycled denim insulation in a completely different way.

JEANIUS™ transforms post-industrial denim waste into high-performance insulation, combining:

👖 Recycled denim fibres

🌡️ Up to R6 thermal performance

🔇 Acoustic performance

🌱 Circular material outcomes

🇦🇺 Australian manufacturing

Thank you to everyone who stepped inside, asked questions and experienced JEANIUS™.

For International Youth Day, we’re celebrating the potential and achievements of young people as partners in shaping our global society. The Australian Department of Social Services notes that there are 1.2 billion young people aged 15–24 globally, representing 16% of the world’s population.

At Planet Protector Group, we believe giving young people the right tools, skills and opportunities is essential to building a stronger future and that includes creating industries worth building careers in.

As an Australian manufacturer, we're working towards a future where innovation, circular manufacturing and sustainability are embedded into the industries young people will inherit.

From WOOLPACK™ transforming Australian wool waste into cold-chain packaging, to JEANIUS™ transforming post-industrial denim into high-performance insulation, we're building new possibilities from materials that were once considered waste.

To the next generation of engineers, manufacturers, architects, designers, scientists, builders and entrepreneurs: we're building a future that needs your ideas.

Landcare Week recognises the volunteers working to care for Australia’s land, coasts and waterways.

At Planet Protector Group, we believe businesses have a role to play too.
The materials we manufacture, specify and put into supply chains can either contribute to the waste problem or become part of the solution.

That’s why we’re building circular alternatives from materials that already exist:
👖 JEANIUS™ transforms post-industrial denim waste into high-performance recycled denim insulation for the built environment.
🐑 WOOLPACK™ transforms Australian wool that isn't suitable for textiles into high-performance cold-chain packaging for food and pharmaceutical supply chains.

Our approach is simple: keep valuable materials in use and give waste streams a new life.

For builders, architects, developers, manufacturers and procurement teams, circularity isn't just an environmental conversation. It's an opportunity to rethink the materials behind our buildings, packaging and supply chains.

Better materials today can help build a better Australia tomorrow.

Keeping Australia beautiful starts with better materials. 🇦🇺♻️

This Keep Australia Beautiful Week, we're reminded that every business has a role to play in protecting Australia's landscapes, waterways, and communities.

At Planet Protector Group, we believe the best way to reduce waste is to prevent it in the first place.

That's why we've developed circular alternatives to traditional materials:

🐑WOOLPACK™ – High-performance cold-chain packaging made from Australian waste wool, helping businesses move away from expanded polystyrene (EPS).

👖JEANIUS™ – Australia's first insulation made from recycled denim, giving textile waste a second life in the built environment.

Together with our customers, we've already helped achieve:
♻️22 million EPS boxes eliminated
🐑9,500 tonnes of wool diverted from landfill
🌏13,650 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions avoided

Keeping Australia beautiful isn't just about cleaning up waste. It's about designing products, packaging, and buildings that create less of it.

If you're looking to reduce waste while improving performance across your packaging or construction projects, we'd love to start the conversation. Message us today and explore sustainable packaging options for your company.

Every packaging decision has an impact beyond the supply chain. This National Biodiversity Month, it's worth asking: What happens to your packaging after it has protected your product?

Expanded polystyrene (EPS) has been a packaging staple for decades, but once discarded, it can fragment into small pieces that persist in the environment for many years.

These fragments can be transported by wind and waterways, contributing to pollution that threatens wildlife and ecosystems.

At Planet Protector, we believe packaging should protect more than the products inside. It should help protect the environment too.

WOOLPACK™ is made from 100% Australian waste wool—a natural fibre that gives an underutilised waste stream a second life while reducing reliance on fossil fuel-based EPS.

Together with our customers, we've already helped achieve:

♻️22 million EPS boxes eliminated
🐑9,600 tonnes of waste wool diverted from landfill
🌏13,650 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions avoided
💰$14 million generated for Australian sheep farmers

Biodiversity isn't just about protecting wildlife. It's about designing products and supply chains that work with nature, not against it.

This National Biodiversity Month, let's build supply chains that leave a positive legacy.

🚨The regulatory landscape for sustainable buildings is accelerating. The European Commission has launched legal action against all 27 EU Member States for failing to fully implement the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), legislation that will drive Europe toward a zero-emission building stock by 2050.

Why does this matter?

For businesses across the construction and manufacturing sectors, sustainability is no longer just an ESG initiative it's becoming a compliance requirement.

The updated rules are designed to:

✔ Improve building energy performance
✔ Reduce emissions from the built environment
✔ Phase out fossil fuel heating systems
✔ Accelerate the adoption of sustainable building materials Forward-thinking businesses won't wait for regulations to catch up.

At Planet Protector, we're already building for the future with circular material solutions that help projects meet evolving sustainability expectations. 👖Jeanius™ Insulation transforms post-industrial denim waste into high-performance thermal and acoustic insulation.

The future belongs to businesses that treat sustainability as a competitive advantage not just a compliance exercise.

1 time usage. 500 years of damage.

A shipment arrives.
The temperature is maintained.
The packaging has done its job.

In just a few days, a polystyrene box goes from protecting valuable products… to becoming waste that can remain in the environment for centuries.

That's the hidden cost of conventional cold-chain packaging.

The challenge isn't what happens after disposal.
It's the material we choose before the shipment even leaves the warehouse.

At Planet Protector, we believe high-performance cold-chain packaging shouldn't leave a centuries-long legacy.

That's why we developed WOOLPACK™.

Made from waste sheep's wool and encased in recyclable or home-compostable food-grade film, WOOLPACK™ is designed to protect temperature-sensitive products while supporting a more circular supply chain.

✔ Home compostable wool insulation
✔ Lower environmental impact than conventional EPS
✔ High-performance thermal protection
✔ Designed for pharmaceutical and food cold chains
✔ Made from renewable natural fibres

The future of packaging isn't just about protecting what's inside the box.

It's about taking responsibility for what happens after it's opened.

If your organisation is reviewing its cold-chain packaging or ESG strategy, now is the time to rethink the materials behind your supply chain.
