That's a wrap on the Forefront Cyber Community QLD Summit 2026! Codify was proud to sponsor this year's event at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre yesterday.

Was great to have our partners Fortinet alongside us at the stand, talking all things security with friends, customers and plenty of new faces from across the community.

Solid event, sharp conversations, and a strong lineup of speakers and panellists - a good reminder of just how much is happening in the QLD cyber space right now.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by!

The tail end of our time in this office called for a final Dog Day 🐕
Our four-legged teammates were hard at work ahead of our upcoming move.

⬩Bert had both ears open, ready to paws whatever he was doing for any client queries.
⬩Macey took quality control seriously, sniffing out anything that seemed a little off.
⬩Aero was on Cloud Migration duty, making sure no cloud‑branded coffee cups were left unlicked.

Treats were gladly approved for the whole team for their hard work 🦴

Over years of service reviews and incidents, teams make hundreds of governance decisions. Very few are black and white:

- A public IP retained for a specific integration
- Backup policies adjusted due to application constraints
- Resources deliberately excluded from a standard control

The problem is that the reasoning behind those decisions rarely lives where compliance data does. Compliance reports show status, but not intent... and without intent, confidence erodes.

That’s exactly the gap we set out to close.

The Compliance View in the Codify Portal brings compliance data and context together in one place. Not just what’s compliant or not, but why a particular posture exists including direct links back to the service tickets where those decisions were agreed.

The result is fewer stalled conversations, faster reviews, and governance discussions that focus on whether something still aligns with intent.

If this problem sounds familiar, we’ve shared a deeper explanation of the thinking behind it here:

Hidden costs might be what they the boogeyman calls them... but not us.

This post breaks down that myth and shares our insights on Azure consumption

Over the past several months, we’ve spoken to quite a few organisations that were warned about the ‘hidden costs’ with an Azure solution. The problem? Those ‘hidden costs’ were never detailed. If you want to be able to make an informed decision on the future design and cost savings of your...

Under pressure to remediate issues in an existing application. A Queensland Government justice sector agency reached out for help modernising to .

We carefully helped them navigate their cloud options and arrived at a solution architecture that resolved the risk and improved operational efficiency.

Check out this story in our

In 2020, following an assessment by a big-four consultancy that revealed areas of potential risk in its bespoke management system, a Queensland Government justice sector agency approached Codify to support the remediation of the issues that were uncovered and to lead its migration to the cloud.

Caught this video of a 1984 telco cutover service recently, and it got me thinking about how far technology has come.

These days, when is planning an for one of our customers, there's no 'leap-of-faith, no-turning-back' cutover moment. We're not taking physical bolt cutters to their infrastructure.

Instead, we run tests, develop co-existence strategies and build rollback plans that essentially de-risk the migration. Should a problem come up, it's not like there's no way out of it.

AT&T's speedy cutover service is fun to watch, but I'm glad today's technology gives us more flexibility when handling .

A brief but surprisingly exciting 1984 video showing the preparation and live, real-time cutover from Step By Step switching system (SXS) to a new electronic...

You may have seen the name in the news, but you might not realise how serious of an issue it actually was.

As the recent US Senate hearing on the attack demonstrates, most organisations are unprepared for these types of supply chain hacks.

Even if your company has addressed , you might not realise that moving to the cloud can help keep your data safe since you're sharing the responsibility with .
