A few weeks ago, we shared some videos from our pancake breakfast. Today, we’re sharing a few more moments from a great morning with the team.

This Pancake Breakfast is more than a team tradition. It’s a chance to slow down, connect with coworkers, and spend time together before another busy day begins.

Those moments of connection help build the relationships that support our day-to-day work. A strong team doesn’t just happen on the job site. It starts with taking the time to get to know the people you work alongside.

Thanks to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning a great one.

A boiler that’s short cycling isn’t just frustrating—it could be an early warning sign of a bigger issue.

Our team was called out to investigate an RBI boiler that had been short-cycling. After ruling out a drafting issue, we found the real culprit: Type B vent buildup.

Over time, combustion byproducts can collect inside the vent, restricting airflow and affecting how the boiler drafts and performs. Left unchecked, issues like this can reduce efficiency, increase wear on your equipment, and lead to unexpected downtime.

The good news? Regular inspections and preventative maintenance can catch problems like this before they turn into costly repairs.

Thank you, Lisa, for sharing this.

This is exactly the kind of problem-solving we value at EDL. Jeramie took the time to properly trace the issue, understand the system, and find a solution that saved the client from unnecessary trenching, downtime, and cost.

Listening first and fixing what actually needs fixing will always matter to us.

Great work, Jeramie. 👏

What you can’t see can cause the biggest problems. 🚽

Our technician, Kaden, was called to an apartment complex to clear a clogged bathroom group. The culprit? A few “sewer rats” creating a blockage that was backing up the system.

It’s not the most glamorous part of commercial plumbing, but it’s one of the most important. In multi-unit buildings, a clogged drain can quickly affect multiple tenants, lead to water damage, and create costly disruptions if it’s not addressed quickly.

Routine inspections and preventative maintenance help catch issues before they turn into emergencies—saving time, money, and headaches down the road.

Replacing aging equipment is about more than installing something new, it’s about improving reliability for the years ahead.

Randy is walking us through a new 50-ton York air handling unit installed at the AMA building, replacing a unit that had been in service since 1993.

Designed with improved energy efficiency, built-in diagnostics, powered exhaust, and vibration dampers, this upgrade will help improve system performance, simplify future maintenance, and reduce wear on both the equipment and the building.

For facility managers, that means greater reliability, fewer unexpected disruptions, and lower long-term operating costs.

At EDL, we believe the best HVAC investments don’t just solve today’s problem—they help prevent tomorrow’s.
