A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Putting Horse Ranch for the IES Edmonton Mini Putt & BBQ.

The weather stayed with us, the food was fantastic, and the conversations reminded us why this industry is so special. Engineers, lighting designers, architects, contractors, manufacturers, and friends all coming together to share ideas and build relationships.

✨IES Edmonton Specialty Lighting Award ✨

What an incredible night celebrating the IES Edmonton Awards at the beautiful Muttart Conservatory. Among so many inspiring projects, one that truly stood out was the Specialty Lighting Award, presented to SMP Engineering Group for their remarkable work on the Bertram Pedestrian Overpass.

Using color LED lighting, the team transformed a simple bridge into an experience one that connects people not only through design but through light itself. Their focus, precision, and creativity brought this project to life in a way that reflects both engineering excellence and artistic vision.

Projects like this remind us that lighting is not just about illumination it’s about identity, emotion, and connection.
