Great conversations, valuable insights, and plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the future of Nova Scotia's farm wineries and grape-growing sector.

Yesterday’s gathering of grape growers, researchers, and industry partners featured perspectives from Bordeaux and sparked discussion around the opportunities, challenges, and remarkable potential of our cool-climate wine region.

Participants had the opportunity to share wines from Bordeaux and a selection of Nova Scotia wines. Planters Ridge Winery was pleased to have its Quintessence Red included in the tasting lineup, helping showcase the quality and diversity being produced here in Nova Scotia.

Events like these highlight the value of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a shared vision for the future of this important agricultural sector.

Featured Wine of the Week: 2024 Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc is a rare gem in Nova Scotia, and this week, we're making it even easier to discover.

Known for its vibrant aromas of raspberry and strawberry, our 2024 Cabernet Franc is light, juicy, and beautifully expressive. A touch of French oak adds subtle depth, while its perfumed character makes every sip inviting and memorable.

While this wine isn't typically available by the glass, we're featuring it through Sunday, giving you a unique opportunity to experience this limited wine before taking home a bottle.

Join us this week and discover why Cabernet Franc has become a favourite among those who know it.

🍷 Available by the glass until Sunday, June 21.

Why does the same wine taste different every time you drink it? 🍷

The wine in your glass may be exactly the same, but the experience around it rarely is.

A sunny afternoon on the patio. A cozy evening by the fire. A meal shared with friends. Even things like temperature, mood, and what you've eaten can drastically change how a wine tastes.

That's part of what makes wine so fascinating. Every bottle has a story to tell, but the setting helps shape the experience.

Patio, fireplace, dinner table, or gathering with friends, which setting makes wine taste best to you?

Fresh, crisp, and beautifully aromatic, Tidal Bay was created to capture the essence of our coastal climate and cool maritime vineyards. It's the perfect companion to sunny afternoons, fresh seafood, patio lunches, and those long June evenings that seem to last forever.

And there's no better time to enjoy it than Tidal Bay Month.

Whether you're discovering it for the first time or it's already your go-to summer wine, we invite you to raise a glass to Nova Scotia's signature wine.

Visit us for a tasting flight, enjoy a glass on the patio, or bring a bottle home to share.

Longer Days. Better Views.

Summer has arrived in Nova Scotia wine country.

The vines are stretching toward the sun, the patio is waiting, and there’s something special about lingering a little longer over a glass of wine as the evening light settles across the vineyard.

Join us for a wine flight, lunch with friends, or Friday Happy Hour and take in some of the most beautiful views in the Annapolis Valley.

We're now open daily from 11am–6pm, with Happy Hour every Friday from 4–7pm.

Because some moments are best enjoyed slowly.

Send this to someone you'd love to share a patio table with this summer

Every vintage has a beginning.

This morning in the vineyard, tiny grape clusters are already emerging as the vines continue their rapid spring growth.

While harvest may still be months away, this is one of the most exciting times of the year. The foundation of the 2026 vintage is being built right now, one shoot and one cluster at a time.

The vineyard is looking healthy, vigorous, and full of promise, and we can't wait to see how the season unfolds.

🍇 Have you ever seen grapevines at this stage of growth?

Rainy spring days call for cozy corners, good company, and something delicious. ☔️🍷

Our new food menu has arrived in the tasting room, including this Margherita Grilled Cheese Panini with smoked scamorza, fresh basil, confit tomatoes, and garlic scape sauce, served with house pickles.

Pair it with a glass of wine, settle in by the vineyard views, and stay awhile. Or bring a great book and enjoy a quiet afternoon escape.

A reminder that afternoons with good wine and good company probably belong on the calendar more often.
