"When we first walked into THE VENUE at McLean Block for the first time, we just looked at each other and we both knew: 'Wow, this is it.' The space is so thoughtfully designed, and has a warm, elegant, and timeless atmosphere. We knew it would be the perfect setting to create memories that would last a lifetime.

We can’t emphasize enough how much we appreciated the ability to use the space from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, which is quite rare for a wedding venue. It meant that we could take in and enjoy every minute of our wedding day ~ a day when every minute counts.

The kitchen area provided plenty of space for our caterers to work efficiently. The same is true of the spacious bar, and the bartenders we hired were grateful that they had everything they needed to provide a great service.

Another one of our favourite features was the beautiful ‘ladybird’ mezzanine. The bridal party used it the morning of our wedding day to get ready, and then after our wedding ceremony, we used it as a quiet hideaway to take a moment together before our grand entrance. During the evening, it became a cozy space for guests to relax and chat in a quieter atmosphere.

The horsehair dance floor was amazing! We also loved being able to adjust the lighting to create the perfect atmosphere as the evening progressed, from cocktail hour to dinner to speeches to the dance.
