Fresh, ghee-loaded Churma Laddoos - made TODAY, on a working Monday. 🙏

Many of us prepared for Bappa in a rush yesterday because today is a working day. I remember that rush so well.

Grateful today looks different. Building a flexible digital business has given me the option to work around my life and my festivals, not the other way around. Still working, but with more peace and time for what matters.

That time to make prasad slowly, with love - that’s the real blessing for me this Ganesh Chaturthi.

Moving to a new country often means starting your career from zero. Studying again. Getting a new licence. Or pausing everything to raise a family.
That was my story too. 8 years as an Interior Designer, then starting over in an admin role in Toronto.
If you are in that in-between phase right now - wanting to be present at home but also wanting purpose and growth - I want to share what helped me.
In 2022 I started a digital business from home with training and mentorship. It took time, learning and daily effort.

Today I tried to film ONE simple video. 😩😂

Attempt #1: Backyard. 🎥
Everything was ready…
And then my neighbor’s dog decided TODAY was his podcast debut. 🐶🎙️😂

FAIL.

Okay… front yard it is!

Attempt #2: 🎥
Quiet. Perfect lighting. No barking. I thought, “Finally!” 🙌🏼

Then I watched the video…

MY HOUSE NUMBER WAS RIGHT THERE. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

FAIL AGAIN.

But I’m not giving up.

Tomorrow = Attempt #3. 🎥

I learn from my mistakes…
I just apparently need 2–3 business days to learn each one. 😂😂

Stay tuned. If the dog AND the house number cooperate tomorrow, we might actually have a video! 🤣

Many people see my life now. They didn't see the in-between.
From a Master's in Interior Design to a minimum wage admin job because my license didn't transfer after moving to Toronto.
That phase taught me humility and resilience.
When motherhood came, I knew I wanted to be present at home, so I started learning digital business in March 2022.
It's a real business — with learning, mentorship and work. Not a quick thing.

Time spent on my business today = 0. 😳
I was busy with personal work and the kids ALL day long.
Just before going to bed, I checked my email and saw...
1 Contract Registered ✅
1 Direct Deposit Payment notification 💰
Whaaaat?! 😍🙌
This is EXACTLY why I love the flexibility of what I do.
Some days I'm working on my business.
Some days life and kids come first.
And the systems keep working in the background.
That's the kind of flexibility I was looking for. ❤️
