With a heavy heart, all of us at Smiths of Bloxham share the sad news that our longest standing employee of over 40 years, Pete, has passed away.

He was consistent and hardworking right to the very end, bringing with him a hilarious sense of humour that brightened every day.
Pete was truly a friend to all, and we are forever grateful for his years of dedicated service.
He will be dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

We would also like to extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to Pete’s family and loved ones during this difficult time; they remain in our thoughts and prayers.

Pete passed away on 9th April 2026, aged 73 years.

He was the adored husband of Lin.

A much loved Dad to Johnathan, Leema, Melisa, Annamarie, Selina and the late Andrew.

A loving grandad who will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

Pete will also be remembered as a long serving employee of Smith's of Bloxham.

Pete’s funeral service has been arranged to take place at Banbury Crematorium on Thursday 7th May at 1.00pm.

The family have requested family flowers only however, donations in Pete’s memory can be made for Helping Homeless Veterans UK at the funeral service, online via the link below:
