The Feather Fixer

I've been called the feather 'picker', the feather 'duster', and last week - the feather 'boa' FGS!!
No wonder no one can find me on Google. 😂

So let me explain.

It started with the feather headdress, where every feather represented returning from battle.

Survival. Courage. 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙙, 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙣.

The biggest headdress belonged to the Chief. The one who had lived, led, fallen, and got back up.
Again and again.

That hit me. Because I think our feathers represent the qualities we collect throughout life.

Every hard conversation. Every setback. Every act of bravery. Every lesson learned the hard way. Those are feathers. Integrity. Resilience. Humour in dark times. Boundaries. Courage. Backbone. Grace. All of it counts.

But life shakes them loose. Leadership, grief, stress, failure, criticism - it can leave us tearing our own feathers out.

That's where I come in. I remind people of the feathers they've already fought for - and help them use them to their full potential.

Integrity is one of my feathers. As well as resilience.
Humour in dark times? 𝗧𝗶𝗰𝗸.
Boundaries. Compassion. Courage. Honesty. Backbone. Grace. 𝗧𝗶𝗰𝗸, 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸, 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸.

I don't pluck them. I don't dust them. I just fix 'em.

𝗦𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘀™ is a speaking event on 8th March 2027, and I'm looking for female speakers who are ready to inspire change.

Never spoken before? That's fine. Always wanted to do a TEDx but weren't sure you were ready? This is your room.

And because I believe in putting my money where my mouth is, I'm paying every speaker £88.88. 💜

The format:
🎤 8 minutes to speak on your chosen topic (it must inspire change)
💡 8 minutes to get the audience to ACT on what you've said (I'll help you with this part)

The event runs 9.30 am–3 pm, and you'll commit to the full day, 2 online prep sessions, and a couple of dress rehearsals. This is a proper, polished event - and you'll be ready for it.

But I sat down with the Tales to Inspire Podcast recently and ended up having one of the most open conversations I've had in a long time.

We talked about youth homelessness, about what young people are actually dealing with (and how unfairly they're judged for it), about what leading a charity really looks like behind the scenes, and - rather unexpectedly - about how I accidentally became a comedian later in life 😄

If I can do all of this as a side hustle over the last two years, what the hell can I achieve now that it’s my full-time ‘gig’? 👀
