We love Halloween, but unfortunately this time of year creates a lot of waste 💀

We thought we would share some of our tips and tricks for having a more ecofriendly spooky celebration this Hallo-Weekend! 👻

Tomorrow is the International Day of Climate Action, something we feel very strongly about at the business park 🌍

Here are a few things of the things we do to help our planet as a green buisiness park:

🐝We have a Sedum Roof, not only does it look lovely, but it creates an all-important home for the local wildlife, reduces noise pollution, improves air quality, and absorbs rainwater to help prevent flooding

♻️84% of the furniture used in the development was recycled and if tenants want to dispose of their furniture, we will ask if anyone needs it to give it a second life!

☀️We have solar panels covering our roofs and approximately 40% Renewable Energy is produced on site

🌊 We conserve water by using low-water-use appliances

🚏We encourage our tenants to travel sustainably . We are based near bus stops serving major bus routes and located on walking and cycling paths

🚲We also have a large secure cycle store with showers and drying facilities available for cyclists.

Did you know that we are dog friendly? 🐶

Many of our tenants regularly bring their furry friends to work 😍

With a huge green space perfect for walkies next to the business park, and dog treats available at reception, Filwood Green is the perfect place for pups 🐾

This good boy is Steven aka “Walker” from Relyon Safety Services. Steven loves to walk around the corridors (hence the name!) and greet all of our tenants and staff. Thank you Steven for brightening our days ☀️

This lovely pooch is Milo from Owen IT! This is his official headshot from the companies recent photo shoot. 🐕

Milo loves to come to reception and play with other pups and the centre staff. He always gets an “Awwwww” out of a crowd! 🥰

This handsome boy is Sheldon from Studio Tonic 🦮

Sheldon is a regular at Filwood Green, especially to the reception area to get yummy treats and show us his circus skills (catching a treat in his mouth) 👏

Here is a lovely tenant story, this lovely pup is Fay, pictured here with Will from Revolutionworks

Fay tried to run out of the building one day 😱 and thankfully Will caught her! This sweet photo is the aftermath. Thank you Will for coming to the rescue! ☺️

This lovely lady is Winnie, our Centre Managers pup 🦴

Whenever she visits, Winnie is an excellent PA and administrator (shown here hard at work!) and we are glad to have her on the team 💚

Caremark Bristol & South Gloucestershire celebrated their 10th anniversary in The Hub and Boardroom at Filwood Green yesterday 🥳🍾

We were so pleased to be a part of their journey from starting the business until today, with the Filwood Green being their first office! 💚

A great time was had with friends old and new, delicious food, and even an awards ceremony! 🏆

Also, a huge thank you to Square Food Foundation , another tenant here, who provided the catering for this event. The food was delicious, and everyone had a wonderful time 🧁

Congratulations Caremark! Here’s to many more years providing all-important care work to our local community 👩‍⚕️💚

We have officially doubled our donation target for Macmillan Cancer Support, raising over £500! 💚

We would not have been able to do this without our amazing tenant’s support 🫂

Many baked delicious goodies and came along to The Hub for a coffee and a chat 🍰🧁

We had such a wonderful afternoon with everyone, and we cannot wait until next year to do it all again! ☕️

It’s Cycle September! 🚴‍♀️

It’s amazing that many of our tenant’s cycle to work every day. We have a large cycle store and an emergency cycle repair kit in our office just in case! 🩹

❤️Why do we love cycling so much?

🚲Cycling to work produces zero emissions, making it super eco-friendly

🔧Manufacturing bicycles requires less resources and energy compared to manufacturing a car

🅿️ Bicycles take up less parking space, meaning larger parking areas are not needed (we have a large cycle store here too!)

🚙Cycling reduces traffic congestion, so there is less pollution

If you are a tenant and get a puncture on your way to work, please come and visit us at reception 👨‍🔧

One of our tenants Turnerberry have recently sponsored Ashton FC! ⚽️🥅

This new football jersey landed at the business park yesterday and we just had to take a picture to share 📸

A huge THANK YOU! to all our tenants and visitors who came to Macmillan Coffee Morning (Afternoon), donated, and made some amazing bakes. 🎂🧁🍰

We have raised over £400 so far!! 💚

Meet our newest tenants Squad Serv ltd ! 🪴

A word from Squad Serv:

Squad Serv Ltd is a commercial soft facilities management contractor working nationwide for property developers and managing agents. We cover communal cleaning, deep cleans and end of tenancy cleans, window cleaning, roof and gutter cleaning, grounds maintenance, waste removal, pressure washing, communal redecoration, fencing and bin store enclosures, and fire safety response. We moved into Unit 213 at the end of August and it’s now our main office, so we’re very happy to be part of Filwood Green.
