Great to see our latest pitch event featured in Insider Media.

More than 35 members, guests, sponsors and entrepreneurs joined us at the Bournemouth Carlton Hotel for an evening of networking, founder conversations and live pitching, and the energy in the room was exceptional.

The evening generated 22 expressions of interest across the presenting businesses, with discussions continuing over dinner as investors and guests explored opportunities further.

What does a career spanning four decades of tech, mergers, acquisitions and venture support actually look like?

We recently sat down with Mike Bradley, Ambassador and Due Diligence Lead at Dorset Business Angels, to find out.

As well as serving as an Ambassador, he leads due diligence on selected pitches, approaching it with a win-win philosophy that’s shaped his entire career.

Big news from Dorset Business Angels 📣

We’re delighted that Valeria Romano has been appointed Advisor for Women in Business at Dorset Business Angels, strengthening our commitment to increasing female participation within the investment ecosystem.

In this newly created role, Valeria will act as a first point of contact for female founders and investors seeking to engage with the organisation. Her focus will be on guiding women on how to approach investors, refine their pitch and confidently navigate the investment process.

Many female founders report feeling daunted when approaching predominantly male investor groups, creating a confidence and access gap at a critical stage of growth. This advisory role is designed to provide a more approachable and supportive entry point.
