We had a fantastic, interactive and insightful session exploring Human Capacity in the Age of AI: Thriving in the New World of Work.

We reflected on the human skills and qualities that matter most as AI continues to change how we work — from adaptability and decision-making to creativity, collaboration and relationships. 💡🤝

Here at the Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre, we’re proud to support entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey.

Our building is home to a whole community of entrepreneurs and growing businesses.

Our Start Up Grant helps new businesses get off the ground because we know how hard those first months can be!

Through Breaking Barriers, we’ve supported women entrepreneurs to develop their businesses, build confidence and access valuable support.

Our Business Support Sessions connect entrepreneurs with organisations and experts who can provide support and guidance.

And our free networking events give entrepreneurs the chance to meet new people, make connections, share ideas and support each other.

We know that starting and running a business can be challenging — but you don’t have to do it alone.

We’re proud to have delivered 5 business support sessions at Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre, bringing together experts from across Calderdale and beyond, including Calderdale Council, MyChamber, AD:VENTURE, Innovate UK and Business Enterprise Fund.

Together, these sessions have helped over 30 different businesses across Calderdale access guidance and practical support — from businesses just starting out to established businesses looking to grow and develop.

From funding and finance to innovation, business planning and growth, it’s been fantastic to see so many local entrepreneurs taking advantage of the support available. 💡

A huge thank you to all of our partners for sharing their expertise and helping us create opportunities for Calderdale’s business community.

💡 A full house and big conversations about energy!

This month's HOT Networking event was another fantastic success, with a full room of local businesses coming together at the Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre to connect, collaborate and learn.

A huge thank you to our guest speaker, Andrew Hawley, Energy Architect, who led an insightful discussion on one of the biggest challenges facing businesses today—energy. From understanding rising costs to practical ways of reducing energy consumption, the session gave attendees plenty of ideas to take back to their own organisations.

It's clear that energy remains a hot topic for businesses across Calderdale, and the discussion sparked some great conversations long after the presentation had finished.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a valuable morning of networking. We also appreciate the continued support of our partners, Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and AD:Venture.
