Your accountant can be absolutely BRILLIANT at what they do

They keep you compliant
Prepare your accounts
File your returns
Tell you what tax you owe

You need them

But here’s the bit nobody really explains to founders…

That doesn’t necessarily mean you have someone helping you make better financial decisions BEFORE you make them

Someone asking:
💚 Which offers are actually making you money?
💚 Where are you quietly leaking profit?
💚 Can the business REALLY afford that new hire?
💚 Is your pricing giving you the margin you need?
💚 What happens to cashflow if you make that investment?
💚 How do we make sure YOU start seeing more of the money you’re creating?

That’s a completely different type of financial support

I’m officially done with women being told the answer is always “make more money” 🙄

Can we stop telling successful women that the answer to every business problem is MORE?

More clients
More sales
Another launch
Another offer
Another £10k month

Because if making more money automatically created financial freedom…

there wouldn’t be women running £20k, £30k and £50k months who still don’t feel able to pay themselves properly

And yet there are

Because more revenue isn’t always the answer

The version of you who pays herself properly isn’t necessarily working harder

She’s running her business differently

She knows what she needs to make
She knows what she can afford to spend
She knows which offers actually create profit
She has money set aside for tax
She’s building cash reserves

And when payday arrives?
She pays herself PROPERLY

Not whatever happens to be left

That’s the kind of business I want more women building
Not one that looks impressive because of the revenue at the top…

But one that keeps money, creates choices and builds wealth for the woman who bloody built it 💚

So no, I’m not going to automatically tell you to go and find another client

I’m going to ask:
What is happening to the money you’re already making?

Because perhaps you don’t need to make more
Perhaps we need to make what you’re already making work harder

🫠 It’s uncomfortable but has to be said…

Because this is the frustrating bit about profit leaks

They don’t exactly send you a notification saying “Hey! I’m costing you money over here!” 😂

Your business can look brilliant

Clients coming in
Revenue growing
You’re busier than ever

But somehow you’re still thinking…
“Why isn’t there more money left?”

Usually, I start by looking for things like:

💸 Pricing that doesn’t reflect the real cost of delivering the work
💸 Money leaving the business without a clear plan for where it should be going and how it will create a return
💸 Investing in growth without knowing whether your profit and cashflow can actually support it

None of these necessarily look dramatic
But month after month?

They add up

And this is why more sales aren’t always the answer

Sometimes we need to stop chasing more money…
…and make the money you’re already earning work harder 💚

Nope it’s not you ❌

And actually…

😌I’m going to say something that might make you breathe a little easier
