After spotting a way to improve how their systems are monitored, the Rochdale manufacturer worked with GM Business Growth Hub to turn that idea into a new product, testing and developing it with The University of Manchester.

25-30% annual growth. £5m raised. 🏆The King's Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

That's what Pimberly has achieved since scaling internationally — the Manchester-based SaaS business joined ASCEND Scale Up Cohort 1 with clear ambitions to scale into the US and used the programme to build the strategy, structure and confidence to do it properly.

Finance Director Paul Cook puts it simply: "You're exposed to perspectives and expertise you wouldn't normally access. It's a very worthwhile programme that helps businesses move forward with confidence."

And the support didn't stop there. After ASCEND, Pimberly went on to work with GM Business Growth Hub's innovation team, securing two grants and partnering with the University of Manchester and the University of Salford to develop new product capabilities and shape the next phase of their growth.
