While we will mostly be cheering for the home nation teams of England and Scotland, we are all excited to see how far our Sweepstake teams can go in the competition.

🛝On the International Day of Play, we are recognising the importance of creating spaces where children and communities can thrive.

Play spaces are more than just an added feature in new developments, they help encourage healthier lifestyles, social interaction, wellbeing, and stronger communities. Thoughtful planning and design can ensure developments create safe, accessible, and engaging environments for families of all ages.

As planning consultants, we understand the value of integrating high quality open spaces and play areas into successful developments from the very beginning. We also have experience undertaking planning applications for new play areas within existing communities.

If you’re looking for planning support on your next project, please get in touch with our team today.

This area of underutilised land in Romford, Essex had previously received a refusal for the building of two Semi-Detached dwellings. Warner Planning, working in close partnership with the architect, submitted a revised proposal addressing the previous reasons for refusal all of which were fully accepted by the Council and Planning Permission was approved.

🌱 Happy World Environment Day!

Planning is such an important part of this day, as it helps shapes the future of our environment.

This World Environment Day, we at Warner Planning are reflecting on the role planning plays in creating sustainable, resilient communities. From protecting green spaces and supporting biodiversity to encouraging active travel and sustainable development, thoughtful planning has the power to make a lasting positive impact.

At Warner Planning, we are proud to help influence developments that balance growth with environmental responsibility, which ultimately create places that work for both people and the planet.

Are you wondering whether to submit a Pre-Application or go straight to the Council with a full Planning Application? Katy has broken down the benefits of a Pre-Application to help you decide.

🏚️This site had a complicated history with extant and lapsed permissions leaving an almost complete dwelling unable to be completed and occupied. Warner Planning were brought in to submit a part retrospective application to lawfully confirm the implementation of the existing dwelling and the access arrangements, as well as reaffirming the previous permissions for a single and double garage which haven’t yet been formally implemented.

The Case Officer deemed the principle of development to be acceptable with significant weight given to the council’s absence of a five year housing land supply and in light of the previous permissions granted.

It was considered that the adverse impacts of the proposal would not significantly and demonstrably outweigh the benefits and it was therefore recommended for approval.

We are excited to see this project finally be completed! 🎉

Happy International Tea Day! 🫖

In the planning world, there are a few certainties in our day to day…
📍 site visits
📍 deadlines
📍 and at least 4 cups of tea before lunchtime.

Whether we are navigating policy, negotiating amendments, or waiting (patiently..ish) for a decision notice… tea is always part of the plan.

Now for the important consultation…

We asked the team what’s their brew of choice? 👇

Sophie, Billy and Beth will always go for a Classic builder’s tea🍵
Katy prefers an Earl Grey🫖
Tara's choice was a Fruit Tea🌿
Simon's favourite is Lemon & ginger🍋

Here’s to strong plans, stronger brews, and a well-earned tea break. Happy International Tea Day! ☕️
