🦷🚨 Keeping Dental Teams Ready for the Unexpected! 🚨🦷

Yesterday I was back in Bradford delivering another Dentist Basic Life Support (BLS) & Emergency Drug Training Course for one of my regular customers, Trinity House Orthodontics. 👏🐝

It’s always fantastic to return to practices that value the importance of keeping their teams confident, competent and prepared to respond when an emergency happens.

The session covered key areas including:

🐝 Bespoke Dentist BLS Training in York! 🦷❤️

It was fantastic to spend time with the team at Castlegate Dental Centre in York, delivering a bespoke Dentist Basic Life Support (BLS) training course tailored specifically to the needs of the practice.

From recognising a deteriorating patient and managing an emergency, through to CPR, AED use, airway management and emergency protocols, the session focused on practical skills and building confidence when it really matters.

Dentist BLS & Emergency Drug Protocols 🦷🚑

Earlier this week I headed over to Manchester to deliver another Dentist Basic Life Support (BLS) & Emergency Drug Protocols training session.

A great day with the dental team, covering those essential skills and knowledge needed to respond confidently when a medical emergency occurs in the dental setting — including BLS, CPR, AED, airway management, oxygen therapy and emergency drug protocols.

But this session was a little different… 👀
I had a special addition to the training day — my grandson Zac came along with me for some work experience while he’s enjoying his summer holidays! 🐝👨‍🏫
It was brilliant having him there and giving him a little insight into what Grandad gets up to when he’s not at home! 😂 Hopefully he picked up a few useful skills along the way too.

Always great to combine work with a bit of family time — and who knows, maybe there’s a future trainer in the making! 🐝

🚨 Training Delivered – Bespoke Dentist Emergency First Aid at Work 🚨

A fantastic day delivering a bespoke Dentist Emergency First Aid at Work training course for the brilliant team at ASR Dental in Huddersfield. 🦷

⛑️Alongside the core Emergency First Aid at Work syllabus, we explored the unique challenges faced in a dental environment, with a particular focus on:
🩺 Patient assessment
❤️ Recognising and managing common medical emergencies in the dental practice
🫁 CPR and AED use
🩸 Choking, severe bleeding and unconscious casualty management
💊 Responding confidently to time-critical emergencies

The team showed great enthusiasm throughout the course, taking part in realistic scenarios and practical exercises to build confidence and competence should an emergency arise.

Another fantastic three days delivering a First Aid at Work training course in York! 🚑🩹

A huge thank you to everyone who took part. It was a brilliant group who showed great enthusiasm, teamwork, and a real commitment to developing the knowledge and practical skills needed to respond confidently in an emergency.

Over the three days we covered a wide range of essential first aid topics, including:
✅ Primary and secondary assessment
✅ CPR and AED (defibrillator) use
✅ Managing an unconscious casualty
✅ Choking
✅ Severe bleeding and shock
✅ Fractures, sprains and soft tissue injuries
✅ Burns and scalds
✅ Medical emergencies including heart attacks, strokes, seizures and asthma
✅ Incident management and casualty care

First aid saves lives, and having trained, confident people in the workplace can make all the difference when every second counts.

A fantastic day delivering FES 9 Attitudes training for the amazing Security Team at Kirklees College.

Throughout the session we explored how attitude, professionalism, communication, decision-making and personal responsibility all play a vital role in creating a safe, positive and secure environment for staff, students and visitors.

🍻 Another fantastic day of training in Corby! 🐝

Today I had the pleasure of delivering Customer Management & Conflict Management Training to a brilliant team working in the pub industry.

Working in hospitality means dealing with people from all walks of life, and while the vast majority of interactions are positive, staff also need the confidence and skills to professionally manage challenging behaviour, diffuse conflict, and keep themselves and their customers safe.

Today's course covered:
✅ Understanding behaviour and recognising early warning signs
✅ Effective communication and de-escalation techniques
✅ Managing conflict with confidence and professionalism
✅ Personal safety and dynamic risk assessment
✅ Practical strategies that can be used immediately behind the bar and on the floor

🦷🐝 Back with one of one of my long-standing clients today!

It was a pleasure to return to Smile Design Studio in Wakefield to deliver their annual Dental Basic Life Support and Medical Emergencies training.

Working with practices year after year is something we're incredibly proud of, and it's always great to see familiar faces who continue to take patient safety and professional development seriously while keeping the learning enjoyable and interactive.

From CPR and AED skills to managing medical emergencies in the dental setting, the team got fully involved, asked some great questions and demonstrated their commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care.
