We’re absolutely delighted that our CEO, Sophie Forrest-Lavery, has been named a finalist for Business Woman of the Year at the Kent Business Awards - Tunbridge Wells!

Sophie founded Forrest HR in March 2018 and has grown the business considerably since then. In 2022, Forrest HR became Forrest Group, bringing together four key business services under one name: HR, Employment Law, Health & Safety and Training.

The awards take place on 21st October and we’re looking forward to celebrating with Sophie and all the other finalists.

Important Update – Employment Rights Act: Trade Unions

The new duty for employers to inform workers of their right to join a trade union was due to come into force on 30 October 2026.

This has now been moved to 1 January 2027, giving employers additional time to prepare.

We’ll continue to keep you updated as further guidance becomes available.
