The Farm Consultancy Group (FCG) is a private limited company originally established in 1997 to provide an excellent service to farmers and rural business via our group of farm consultants, agricultural consultants and agricultural advisors that are located throughout the UK. The group now

consists of 12 constituent shareholder practices. Each of these practices acts as an agricultural consultancy unit consisting of farm consultants, agricultural consultants and agricultural advisors that conform to the rules and style laid out in their agreements with FCG. In turn they can develop their own independent practices as they see fit. Consequently there are over 18 fee earning farm and agricultural consultants working under the umbrella of FCG, mainly in the southern half of England and in South Wales. The Farm Consultancy Group offices are location in Andover, Carmarthen, Chippenham, Gloucester, Lincoln, Sherborne, Stafford and Yeovil

Farm Worker Safety Guidance

🔥 Hot Weather (Heat, Sun, Humidity)
⚠️ Risks
• Heat exhaustion or heat stroke
• Dehydration
• Sunburn and long-term skin damage
• Fatigue leading to accidents

✅ Key Safety Measures:

💧 Hydration
• Drink water regularly (little and often)
• Avoid waiting until you feel thirsty
• Limit caffeine and sugary drinks

🧢 Clothing & Protection
• Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing
• Use wide-brim hats or helmet sun protection
• Apply high-factor sunscreen (SPF 30+)
• Wear UV-protective eyewear

⏱️ Work Planning
• Schedule heavy work for early morning or late afternoon
• Take regular breaks in shade or cool areas
• Rotate tasks to reduce prolonged exposure

🧠 Awareness
• Watch for early symptoms:
1. Headaches
2. Dizziness
